June 4, 1789 John Young to John Albaugh
Exam Deliv’d Granted } At the request of John
Albaugh the following deed was
4th June 1789 } recorded the 15th February 1785,
to wit.
This indenture made the
seventeenth Day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred
and eighty five Between John Young of Frederick County and State of Maryland,
Farmer of the one part and John Albach Sen’r of the County and State aforesaid,
Farmer of the other part witnesseth that the said John Young for and in
Consideration of the sum of three pounds fifteen shillings Current Gold and
Silver to him in hand paid by the s’d John Albach Sen'r. The receipt whereof s’d
John Young doth hereby acknowledge, and for the further consideration of the
yearly rent of seven Shillings & 6 pence Current money to be paid to the s’d
John Young or to his Heirs Executors to yearly and every year which s’d Annuity
to commence the 22nd day of June last hath given granted bargained
sold align released and confirmed, and by these presents doth give grant bargain
sell alien release and confirm unto him the s’d John Albach Sen’r his Heirs and
Assigns forever; one front Lott in the Town of Liberty and Frederick County
being a corner Lott known and distinguished by the Number 76. Beginning at a
Stake on the North side of the Main Street and running thence North four degrees
West three hundred feet, South eighty six degrees West fifty feet South four
degrees East three hundred Feet then to the Beginning containing one of the Town
Lotts, Together with all and singular the Buildings and Improvements and all the
premises and appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertaining. To
have and to hold the said Lott of Ground, together with the premises and
appurtenances, on the condition above mentioned, unto him the s’d John Albach
his Heirs and Assigns forever. And the s’d John Young doth further consonant
for himself and his Heirs to and with the s’d John Albaugh Sen’r his Heirs and
Assigns, that he the said John Young and his Heirs to shall and will from time
to time and at all times forever hereafter warrant and defend the s’d Lott of
Ground against all manner of persons whatsoever claiming any Right or Title unto
the aforesaid Lott of Ground. And the s’d John Young his Heirs to shall and
will from Time to Time, and at all Times forever thereafter at the proper Cost
and Charges for him the s’d John Albach Sen’r his Heirs and Assigns do make
acknowledge suffer execute or cause to be done made acknowledged suffered and
executed all and every such further Act or Acts Assurances and Conveyances in
the Law as by the s’d John Albach his Heirs and Assigns, or his or their Council
learns in Law shall be reasonably devised advise or required for the further and
better Assurances Surety and Suremaking Of all and singular the premises hereby
bargained and sold, or intended to be hereby bargained and sold, according to
the true Meaning and Intent of these presents. In Witness whereof the said John
Young hath hereunto set his Hand and Seal the Day and Year above written

Which was thus endorsed to wit~
Received this seventeenth day of January 1785 of John Albach
Sen’r the Sum of three pounds fifteen Shillings Current Gold and Silver money
the consideration expressed in the within deed, except the yearly rent of seven
shillings & 6 pence Current money as mentioned in the within Deed

On the seventeenth day of January 1785 Came the within
named John Young before us two of the Justice of the Peace for Frederick County
and acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be his Act and Deed, and
the Lott of Ground and premises therein mentioned to be the Right and Estate of
John Albach Sen’r his Heirs and Assigns forever
