DEED
William Allbaugh to Samuel Allbaugh
Know all men by these presents that, we
William Allbaugh and Sarah Allbaugh his wife of the county of Harrison and Stat
of Ohio, In consideration of the sum of Sixteen hundred Dollars and interests in
hand paid by Samuel Allbaugh of the county and State aforesaid have bargained
and sold and do hereby Grant bargain, sell and convey unto the said Samuel
Allbaugh his heirs and assigns the following described premises to wit, Being a
part of the NW Qtr of Section Six (6) Township Twelve (12) and Range Six (6)
Steubenville District Beginning at a stone at the NW corner of said Section S 88
¼ E, 56.8 perches, a Jack oak then N 64 W 29 links Thence s 2¼º W 112.66
perches a chestnut oak 18 inches S 34½º E 27 links thence N 88¼º W 56.8 perches
to a stone. Thence N 2¼º E 112.66 perches to the beginning containing 40 acres.
To have and to hold unto the said Samuel Allbaugh his heirs and
assigns Together in all the privileges thereunto belonging or in any way
appertaining. And the said William Allbaugh and Sarah Allbaugh his wife do for
themselves their heirs and assigns covenant that they are the true and lawful
owners of the same, and have full power to sell the same, and they will forever
Warrant and Defend the same against all lawful claims of any person whomsoever.
In Testimony whereof the said William Allbaugh & Sarah Allbaugh
his wife have hereunto set their hands and seals this eighth day of December
1870.

State of Ohio, Harrison County, SS,
Before me Alexander Scott a Justice of the Peace in and for said
county personally came William Allbaugh and Sarah Allbaugh his wife and
acknowledged the signing and sealing of the within named to be there voluntary
act and deed and that the said Sarah Allbaugh being at the same time examined by
me separate and apart from her husband and the contents of said Instrument made
known to her by me she then declared that she did voluntarily sign seal and
acknowledge the same and that she is still satisfied therewith this Eighth (8)
day of December A.D. 1870.

I hereby certify that the Deed of which the foregoing is a copy
had adhesive stamps attached to the value of Two Dollars which were duly
cancelled according to law. I further certify that said Deed was entered for
Record July 7th 1871 and Recorded August 6th, 1871.
