William Albaugh to Isaac Albaugh
Land Records, Frederick MD Examd delivd to order { At the
request of Isaac Albaugh the following Deed is This Indenture made this eighteenth day of
March one thousand eight hundred & eighteen between William Albaugh of Frederick
County & State of Maryland of the one part & Isaac Albaugh of the said County &
State of the other part Witnesseth that the said William Albaugh for & in
consideration of the sum of one thousand dollars current money of the United
States to him in hand paid the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge & also
for & in consideration of the sum of two dollars current money to be paid yearly
& every year on the twenty second day of June to Richard Coale his heirs or
assigns as by his deed to David Albaugh bearing date the twenty seventh day of
March one thousand seven hundred & eighty eight doth appear, hath granted,
bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed & confirmed by these presents doth bargain,
sell, alien, enfeoff & confirm unto the said Isaac Albaugh, his heirs & assigns
all the following described parcel of ground to wit ~ one back lot of ground in
Liberty Town lying & being in Frederick County aforesaid on a draught of
Linganore called Piney Run being part of a tract of land called Dukes Wood the
said back lot being numbered on the plan of said Town one hundred & ninety four
Beginning at a stone marked DĘ & running thence North four degrees West
three hundred feet then South eighty six degrees West fifty feet then South four
degrees East three hundred feet then by a straight line to the beginning
containing one of the Town back lots of the Town of Liberty aforesaid also one
other parcel of ground adjoining the Town of Liberty aforesaid and the aforesaid
back Lot number one hundred & ninety four and the east side thereof being part
of the tract of Land called Dukes Woods aforesaid beginning at a stone set up &
marked with the letters DĘ running thence North four degrees west three
hundred feet, then South eighty six degrees West fifty feet then South four
degrees East three hundred feet then by a straight line to the beginning
containing & laid out to be one of the Town Lots aforesaid & that is equal in
quantity to one of the aforesaid Town Lots, & all & singular the houses gardens
fences & improvements to the said two Lots or parcels of ground & premises
belonging with their & every of their appurtenances & also the reversion &
reversions, remainder & remainders, right estate & interest benefit claim &
demand whatsoever except the rent reserved for the use of Richard Coale
aforesaid of him the said William Albaugh & his heirs of in & to all & singular
the premises & improvements with their & every of their appurtenances of in & to
every part & parcel of them to have & to hold the said bargained Lots of ground
& all & singular the premises unto him the said Isaac Albaugh his heirs &
assigns forever to the only use & behoof of him the said Isaac Albaugh his heirs
& assigns and the said William Albaugh for himself & his heirs the said
bargained Lots or parcels of ground & premises with all & singular the
improvements to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining unto him the
said William Albaugh his heirs & assigns & all persons whatsoever claiming by
from or under him or them except as before excepted shall & will forever warrant
& defend. In witness whereof the said William Albaugh hath set his hand & seal
the day & year aforesaid ~~~~ Which was thus endorsed, to wit ~~ On the 18th day of March 1818
came the above named William Albaugh before us two of the Justices of the Peace
in & for Frederick County & acknowledged the foregoing Instrument of writing to
be his act & deed & the Lots or parcels of ground therein mentioned & thereby
bargained & sold to be the right and estate of the above named Isaac Albaugh his
heirs & assigns forever according to the true intent and meaning of the same.
