William Albaugh to Wesley Creal
Know all men by these presents, that we
William Albaugh and Sarah Albaugh his wife of the County of Harrison, State of
Ohio, in consideration of the sum of Four thousand two hundred Dollars, to us
paid by Wesley Creal of the County of Harrison, State of Ohio, have bargained
and sold, and do hereby grant and convey unto the said Wesley Creal his heirs
and assigns forever, the following premises, situate in the County of Harrison
in the State of Ohio and in the District of Land sold at Steubenville, Ohio, and
bounded and described as follows, Being a part of the South East quarter of
Section No. two in Township thirteen and Range six, beginning for the same at
the South east corner of said Section and running thence North twenty nine
chains to a point in the road from which a Maple sixteen inches in diameter
bears North seventeen degrees West thirty three links, thence North sixty eight
degrees West two chains and seventy seven links to the edge of Connotton Creek,
thence down the right bank of said Creek Keeping near its edge to a point from
which a Maple thirty inches in diameter bears North Eighty three degrees East
forty five links distant, thence South seventeen chains and seven links, thence
South sixteen degrees West sixteen chains, thence East thirty seven chains and
fifty links to the place of beginning and containing one hundred and three aces
more or less. Also East half of the North West quarter of Section No. One, in
Township thirteen, and Range six except forty acres of the South end Deeded to
John McDonough.
To have and to hold said premises with the appurtenances unto the said
Wesley Creal his heirs and assigns forever,. And the said William Albaugh and
Sarah Albaugh for themselves and their heirs do hereby covenant with said Wesley
Creal his heirs and assigns, that they are lawfully seized of the premises
aforesaid, that said premises are free and clear from all incumbrances
whatsoever, and that they will forever warrant and defend the same, with the
appurtenances unto the said Wesley Creal his heirs and assigns against the
lawful claims of all persons whomsoever.
In Testimony whereof, the said William Albaugh and Sarah Albaugh have
hereunto set their hands and seals this sixth day of February in the year of our
Lord, one thousand eight hundred and sixty two.

The State of Ohio, Harrison County, ss.
Before me Francis Grace, a Justice of the Peace, in and for said County,
personally appeared the above named William Albaugh and Sarah Albaugh wife of
the said William Albaugh and acknowledged the signing and sealing of the
forgoing conveyance to be their voluntary act and deed. And the said Sarah
Albaugh, being at the same time examined by me, separate and apart from her
husband and the contents of said instrument made known to her by me, she then
declared that she did voluntarily sign, seal and acknowledge the same, and that
she is still satisfied therewith, this 6th day of February A.D. 1862,
as witness my hand.
