William Albaugh to Board of Ed., North Twp. 

DEED       William Allbaugh & wife  To Board Ed., North Tp.

 

Know all men by these presents that We Wm Allbaugh and Sarah Allbaugh his wife, of the County of Harrison and State of Ohio for an in consideration of the sum of Fifty Dollars in hand paid by A.B. Coral, Wm B. Law, John M. Holmes, David Easterday,  Aaron Conaway and James McLandsborogh as members of the Board of Education of the Township of North, County of Harrison in the Stat of Ohio have bargained and sold and do hereby Grant, Bargain sell and convey unto the said A.B. Coral, Wm B. Law, John M. Holmes, David Easterday, Aaron Conaway and James McLandsborogh, members of the Board of Education as aforesaid and to theirs Successors in office for the following described premises situated in the County of Harrison and State of Ohio and in the Steubenville Land District and bounded and described as follows, beginning for the same at a stone on the section line located South by West 2nd degrees 5.82 chains from a stone on the said section line Thence South by West 2 degrees 3.12 chains to a stake thence due west 1.67 chains to a stake  Thence North by East 21 degrees 3.12 chains to a stake thence due East 1.67 chains to place of Beginning and containing 2 rods and 2 ½ perches more or less.
                To have and to hold said premises with the appurtenances unto the said A.B. Coral, W.B. Law, John M. Holmes, David Easterday, Aaron Conaway and James McLandsborogh, members of the Board of Education as aforesaid and to their Successors in office forever.  And the said Wm Allbaugh for himself and his heirs doth hereby covenant that the said A.B. Coral, W.B. Law, John M. Holmes, David Easterday, Aaron Conaway and James McLandsborogh, members of the Board of Education as aforesaid and to their Successors in office  that his lawfully seized of the premises aforesaid and that he has good right and lawful authority to sell and convey the same as aforesaid and that said premises are free and clear from all incumbrances whatsoever and that he will forever warrant defend the same with the appurtenances unto the said A.B. Coral, W.B. Law, John M. Holmes, David Easterday, Aaron Conaway and James McLandsborogh, members of the Board of Education as aforesaid and to their Successors in office against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever.
                In Testimony whereof the said Wm Allbaugh and Sarah Allbaugh his wife have hereunto set their hands and seals this 23rd day July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy.

Before the subscriber a Justice of the Peace within and for the said county aforesaid personally appeared the within named William Allbaugh and Sarah Allbaugh wife of the said William Albaugh and severally acknowledged the signing and sealing of the within conveyance to be their voluntary act and deed.  And the said Sarah Allbaugh his wife being at the same time examined separate and apart from her said husband and the contents of said Instrument being by me made known to her she did on such separate examination declare that she did voluntarily sign seal and acknowledge the same and that she is still satisfied therewith this 23rd day of July A.D. 1870.

I hereby certify that the Deed of which the foregoing is a copy had an adhesive stamp attached is the value of Fifty cents which was duly cancelled according to law.  I further certified said deed was sent for Record November 29th 1870 and Recorded December 10th 1870.            George W.
