Wm A. Albaugh to Simon Crumbaugh

Exd and Delivered Granted                      At the request of Simon Crumbaugh the following deed is
Octr 9th 1820             paid                      recorded 26th June 1820, viz.

This indenture made this twenty ninth day of April in the year of our Lord, eighteen hundred and twenty by and between William A. Albaugh of Frederick County in the state of Maryland of the one part and Simon Crumbaugh of the County and state aforesaid of the other part, Witnesseth, that the said William A. Albaugh for and in consideration of the sum of thirteen dollars current money to him in hand paid by the said Simon Crumbaugh before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof the said Wm A. Albaugh doth hereby acknowledge hath granted, sold, aliened, enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents doth grant, sell, alien, enfeoff and confirm unto the said Simon Crumbaugh his heirs and assigns all and every part of that tract or parcel of land, it being part of a tract or parcel of land called “Woodland” granted Wm A, Albaugh by patent bearing date the eighteenth day of November, eighteen hundred and nineteen, lying and being in Frederick County and state aforesaid, beginning for said part at the end of thirty and two tenths perches, on the first line of a tract of land called “Margaret Sydeman’s Delight” and on the given line of a tract of land called “Long Streak” it also being the end of the third line of a whole tract called “Woodland” and running thence with said line reversed, north twenty two degrees, west twenty and two tenths perches to the end of the second line of said whole tract and with said second line reversed South one fourth of a degree west forty five and four tenths perches thence leaving the outlines east seven perches to the given line of the whole tract and with said given line reversed to the place of beginning containing one and five eighths acres of land more or less, together with all the premises and improvements and appurtenances there unto belonging or in any wise appertaining to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land, with the premises and appurtenances, and all the rents, issues and profits of the same unto him the said Simon Crumbaugh, his heirs and assigns forever, and to no other use, intent or purpose whatsoever, and the said Wm A. Albaugh , for himself, his heirs, executors and administrators doth hereby covenant and agree with the said Simon Crumbaugh, his heirs and assigns that he the said Wm. A. Albaugh, shall and will from time to time, hereafter warrant and defend unto the said Simon Crumbaugh his heirs and assigns all the within described tract or parcel of land and premises as bargained and sold, against him the said Wm A. Albaugh  and his heirs and against all other persons, claiming by from or under him any right, title or interest in or to the same and the said William A. Albaugh for himself and his heirs doth further covenant, promise and agree to and with the said Simon Cumbaugh his heirs and assigns, that he the said William A. Albaugh or his heirs shall and will at any time hereafter, make, execute and acknowledge any further act ,deed or instrument of writing, that the said Simon Crumbaugh, his heirs or assigns may reasonably request or devise for better securing and more firm making over said land and premises as bargained and sold or meant or intended so to be to the said Simon Crumbaugh his heirs and assigns provided always that such further deed or instrument of writing contain no other warranty then is herein expressed and at cost and charged of the said Simon Crumbaugh his heirs or assigns.  In witness whereof the said William A. Albaugh hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first within written.

Which was thus endorsed
State of Maryland, Frederick County, to wit.

On the twenty ninth day of April, in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and twenty, personally appeared William A. Albaugh before us two Justices of the Peace in and for Frederick County and acknowledged  the within Instrument of writing to be his act and deed and the land and premises therein mentioned and thereby bargained and sold to be the right and estate of the within named Simon Crumbaugh his heirs and assigns forever, according to the true intent and meaning of said instrument of writing and the acts of assembly in such case made and provided
