George Whip to Soloman Albaugh

                                               At the request of Soloman Albaugh the following Deed was
                                               Recorded 11th March 1828, viz.

This Indenture made this eight day of March in the year eighteen hundred and twenty eight Between George Whip of Frederick County in the State of Maryland of the one part and Soloman Albaugh of the same county and state of the other part.  Whereas by decree of Frederick County Court sitting as a Court of Equity , bearing date the eleventh day of January eighteen hundred and twenty seven the said George Whip was appointed a Trustee and authorized to sell and dispose of the real estate of Samuel Keifer late of said County deceased for the payment of his debts and in pursuance of said Decree the said George Whip did sell to the said Soloman Albaugh the western half of Lot number two hundred and eighty nine being ~ portion of ground laid off as an additional lot to Frederick Town in the county aforesaid being the same of which the said Samuel Keifer deed seized for the sum of five hundred and fifty six dollars current money as reported to and ratified by said Court Together with all the advantages and appurtenances with an alley eight feet wide and sixty feet long, extending from Church Street back taken and lined from the eastern half of said Lot No 289 as may be seen by reference to a Deed from David F. Schaeffer to said Samuel Keifer, dated the twenty four day of November eighteen hundred and fifteen.  And whereas the said Soloman Albaugh hath fully paid the purchase money to the said George Whip who as Trustee is authorized and directed by said decree to execute a conveyance for the same.  Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said George Whip in consideration of the promise and of one dollar to him in paid hath and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell alien release enfeoff and confirm unto the said Solomon Albaugh and his heirs all that western half of Lot Number two hundred and eighty nine fronting on Church Street and extending back to Second Street, containing thirty feet more or less in breadth and the hundred and ninety three feet in depth in the direction and having the privilege of an alley on the eastern half of said Lot No. 289 eight feet wide on Church Street and sixty feet back as the same belonged to the said Samuel Keifer at his death.  Together with all advantages and appurtenances to the same To Have and to hold the said half lot with the privileges of the alley as aforesaid and all and singular other the premises as the said Samuel Keifer decd thereof to the said Solomon Albaugh his heirs and assigns forever.  In witness whereof the said George Whip Trustee aforesaid hath hereunto Subscribed his name and affixed his seal the day and year first herein before written.

       On this eighth day of March eighteen hundred and twenty personally appeared before me the Subscriber an Associate Judge of the Fifth Judicial District oft and State and acknowledged the same to be his act and deed, and the half lot and premises thereof intended to be conveyed to be the right and estate of the within named Solomon Albaugh his heirs and assigns forever.
