Bill of Sale – Windle Warner to John Albaugh

At the Request of John Albaugh the following Bill of Sale was Recorded 7th May 1785 to wit~~~
Frederick County   }

State of Maryland  }  Know all men by these presents that I Windle Warner of said County in Consideration of the sum of four hundred five shillings specie to me in hand paid by John Albaugh of said County Farmer have bargained sold and confirm’d and by these presents do bargain sell and confirm unto the said John Albaugh his Heirs and Assigns all the Goods & Chattels of what nature so ever, which I Windle Warner am now possess’d of wearing excepted .  To Have and to hold all and singular the said Goods & Chattels and every of them by these presents bargained sold and confirm’d unto the said John Albaugh his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns forever freely quietly peaceably and entirely without any Contradiction Claim Disturbance or Hindrance of any person whatsoever and without any amount to me or to any other whatsoever to be made answered or hereafter to be rendered so that, I the said Windle Warner nor any other for me, or in my Name and Right Title Interest or demand of in to or for the said Goods and Chattels or any part or parcel thereof ought to be exact challenge claim or demand at any Time hereafter, except the weaving apparel aforesaid, but from all Action Right Estate Title Claim demand Possession and Interest thereof shall be wholly barred and excluded so by force and virtue of these  Presents.   And I, the said Windle Warner for myself my Heirs Executors and Administrators all and singular the said Goods and Chattels unto the said John Albaugh his Executors Administrators and Assigns, and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents.  In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this seventh day of May seventeen hundred and eighty seven                                         his

On the back whereof was thus endorsed to wit ~~~

                On the 7th day of May 1787 Came the within named Windle Warner before me the subscriber, one of the Justices of the peace for Frederick County and acknowledged the within deed and Goods and Chattels therein mentioned to be the lawfull Right and Estate of the within named John Albaugh his Heirs and Assigns forever according to the true Intent and Meaning of this Instrument of Writing, and the Act of Assembly in such cases and provided ~~~~~~
