To all to whom these presents shall come ~ Greetings ~ Know Ye
that I, George Johnston of the County of Jefferson and State of Ohio as
administrator of Thomas Vance, late of Jefferson County, deceased, by virtue of
an order and decree of the Probate Court in and for the county of Jefferson, in
the State of Ohio, made on the twenty sixth day of May in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and sixty two duly authorizing me by virtue of the
proceedings & thus and theretofore had by and in said Court, to sell the Real
Estate of the said Thomas Vance, deceased, hereinafter described and in
pursuance of a sale duly made and reported to, and confirmed by said court on
the fifth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and sixty two, and in consideration of the sum of Seven dollars and sixty seven
cents to me in hand paid or secures to be paid by Harrison W. Albaugh, of said
County, the purchaser at said Sale of the said Real Estate hereinafter
described, the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge, do hereby grant,
bargain, sell and convey unto the said Harrison W. Albaugh, his heirs and
assigns forever, by virtue and in pursuance of the order, decrees, sale,
confirmation and powers above referred to, a certain tract of Land, situated in
the Town of Bloomfield in the county of Jefferson and State of Ohio, and bounded
and described as follows, Being the one undivided half part of Lot Number Fifty
seven (57) in the Town of Bloomfield, in the County of Jefferson and State of
Ohio. To have and to hold the said Tract or parcel of Land, with the privileges
and appurtenances thereof to him the said Harrison Albaugh his heirs and assigns
forever. In witness whereof I as Administrator aforesaid have hereunto set my
hand and seal this thirty first day of October in the year of our Lord one
thousand right hundred and sixty two.

Before me, the subscriber a Justice of the
Peace in and for the county aforesaid, personally appeared George Johnston,
Administrator and as such acknowledged the foregoing Instrument to be his
voluntary act and deed for the purpose therein aforesaid. Given under my hand
this thirty first day of October A.D. 1862.
