James Teaff to Reuben Albaugh

 

Know all men by these presents that we James Teaff and Eleanor his wife for and in consideration of the sum of One hundred and fifty dollars in hand paid by Reuben Albaugh do hereby remise, release and forever quit claim unto the said Reuben Albaugh, his heirs and assigns forever, all our right title interest and claim legal and equitable in the following premises with the appurtenances situate near the Town of Bolding Green, Jefferson County and State of Ohio and bounded as follows to wit, Being part of Section Number Twenty five, Township Eight and Range Two, Beginning at a stone in the State Road leading from Richmond to Knoxville from which the North East corner of George Riders Smith Shop bears South eighteen West One hundred and six links thence East thirty four perches to a post in David Ridenhours field thence North twenty seven and one half East twenty three, three perches to Jesiah Winters line to a white oak twelve inches in diameter bear South thirty West fifteen links thence West forty four & one half perches to a stone East of the Road, thence South twenty and one half perches to the place of beginning Containing Five acres more or less being the same piece of land conveyed to George Rider by Greenbarry Crawford and Margaret Crawford his wife by deed bearing date the fifteenth day of August 1835 leaving and reserving and excepting two small parcels of land contained in the above boundary heretofore conveyed by the said George Rider the one to Reuben Albaugh and the other to John Stephens with description of which will more fully appear from the deeds of said Albaugh & Stephens with all and singular the appurtenances.  In testimony whereof the said James Teaff and Eleanor his wife have hereunto set their hands and seals this fourth day of August 1843.

(SEAL)    Personally appeared before me James McKenney a Justice of the Peace, in and for said County, the within named James Teaff and Eleanor his wife, and acknowledged the within instrument of writing to be their act and deed for the purposes therein named and the said Eleanor Teaff being at the same time examined by me separate and apart from her said husband, did declare that she signed, sealed and acknowledged the same voluntarily, and that she is still satisfied therewith.  Given under my hand and seal this 4th day of August A.D. 1843.
