Stephen Albaugh to Crapster V. Jones

                                             At the request of Crapster & Jones the following sale was recorded
                                             the 25th of Novr 1806, to wit

Know all men by these presents that I Stephen Albaugh of Frederick County & State of Maryland for an in consideration of the sum of twenty three pounds four shillings & four pence to me in hand paid by Crapster and Jones of Liberty Town in the county aforesaid at or before the sealing and delivery o these presents the receipt whereof I the said Stephen Albaugh do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Abraham Crapster and Abraham Jones their heirs and assigns one bay mare about five years old and one bay mare about fifteen years old both of which are now remaining in the possession of the said Stephen Albaugh.  To have and to hold all and singular the said property above bargained and sold or intended so to be to the said Crapster and Jones their heirs executors administrators and assigns forever.  And I the said Stephen Albaugh for myself my heirs executors & administrators all and singular the said two mares unto the said Crapster & Jones their heirs and assigns against me the said Stephen Albaugh my executors and administrators and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will forever warrant and defend by these presents of all and singular the said property goods and chattels I the said Stephen Albaugh have put the said Crapster and Jones in full possession of at the sealing and delivery of these presents in the name of the whole premises hereby bargained and sold or intended so to be unto them the said Crapster & Jones as aforesaid provided never the less that if the said Stephen Albaugh or his heirs executors or administrators does well and truly pay unto the said Crapster & Jones or their heirs or assigns the said sum of twenty three pounds four shillings and four pence with interest thereon within two months from this date then this obligation to be void else to be and remain in full force and virtue in law.  In witness whereof, I the said Stephen Albaugh hath hereunto set my hand and seal this ninth day of November eighteen hundred and six.

Which was thus endorsed to wit ~~
On the 9th day of November 1806 came Stephen Albaugh before me a Justice of the peace for Frederick County and acknowledged the within instrument of writing to be his act and deed and within mentioned property to be the property of the within named Crapster & Jones.
