Be it remembered that on the 20th day of October A.D. 1862 The Last Will and
Testament of Solomon Stine deceased was brot into Court with the attesting witnesses and
then being fully satisfied that said Will was in all aspects duly executed the same was
admitted to probate, and said will is in the words and figures as following, to wit.~
I Solomon Stine of the County Carroll in the State of
Ohio do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in form following, that is to say
First It is my will that all funeral expenses and my
just debts be fully paid.
Second I give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife
Violet Stine in Lieu of her sworn jointly with my Infant daughter Emily Stine that part of
the plantation in which we now reside lying north of the road leading from William Simmons
to Joanis Davidsons Mill. I also bequeath to my said wife Violet Stine all my money
and credits and all the like stock, horses, cattle, sheep, hogs as by me now owned.
Kept therein also my Blacksmith tools and all the tools in the shop and all the household
and kitchen furniture and other items not particularily named and otherwise disposed of
(x) in the will as aforesaid. She however in passing of suffering
thereof to pay my just debts as aforesaid.
Third It is my will that this land and tenants alike
specified and jointly willed to my wife and infant daughter be not disposed of until my
said daughter asines to the age eighteen years and if she should die before that time
she would be eighteen years of age then my wife is to have the benefits arising from said
property up to that time but in case of her death my lawful heirs shall have an equal
share of the same at the time she would be eighteen years of age.
Fourth I give and devise to my sons John Stine,
Nathaniel Stine, David Stine, Samuel Stines Heirs - William Stine and my daughter Mahala
Albaugh, Samuel Stines children to have the father's part. That part of the
plantation on which I now reside, which lies South of the road leaving from William
Simmons to D. Davidsons Mill. I also direct that John Stine, Nathaniel Stine and
David Stine sell as they may *** ***** said land and tenement and that my son John Stine
receive one hundred dollars over and above his equal share of the same, also I
direct that after the sale of said land that there shall be paid out of the proceeds of
yet ninety dollars to the estate of Charles Ness deceased. It being money which I
owed said estate.
Fifth I also direct the moneys due Samuel Stine heirs
ater the sale of land premises to *** **** of Thomas Magancy (?) in trust for them to be
paid by said Magancy and not until they arise at age of eighteen years with as much
interest as he may receive from the same by him retaining lawful percentage.
In testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this 11th day of
August A.D. 1862.
