Jacob Snider to Zachariah Albaugh
Land Records, Frederick MD Examined and delivered } At the
request of Zacharias Albaugh the following deed was recorded This Indenture made this eighth day of April seventeen hundred and ninety five Between Jacob Snider junior of Frederick county in the State of Maryland Farmer of the one part and Zacharias Albaugh of the county and state aforesaid Farmer of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Jacob Snider for and in consideration of the sum of twenty four pounds four shillings current money to him in hand paid by the said Zacharias Albaugh at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof the said Jacob Snider doth hereby confess and acknowledge, and there from entirely acquit exonerate and discharge the said Zacharias Albaugh being therewith contented and satisfied. Hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth fully clearly and absolutely grant bargain sell transfer convey enfeoff and confirm unto the said Zacharias Albaugh and his heirs and assigns forever All that tract or parcel of land hereby bargained and sold being part of a tract called The New Location lying in Frederick County aforesaid. Beginning at a stone erected at the end of the straight line of said land and running with it five courses South sixty two degrees East fifty six perches with the thirty fifth line of a tract called Elory to the end thereof as settled with two degrees allowance for variations north thirty six degrees east eighty nine and a half perches with the thirty sixth line of said Elory as settled as aforesaid to the thirty sixth line of the Resurvey on Friendship as surveyed and fixed by agreement between the interested parties also without two degrees allowance for variation, then with said line of said resurvey north thirty three degrees west twelve and a quarter perches to the fifth line of a tract of land called Good Will as surveyed and settled also with two degrees allowance for variation then with said line revised? South thirty six degrees west eighty two perches to the end of the fourth line of said land still with it revised North sixty two degrees West fifty three perches to the given line of attract called Redland then with it South fourteen degrees twenty minutes West thirteen and a half perches to a stone then south sixty two degrees east three perches and eight links to the first station of Beginning containing ten acres and three quarters of an acre of Land ~~ together with all the Improvements Manners, profits, Issues, Condition and advantages whatsoever unto the same belonging or in anywise appertaining and also all the estate Right Title Interest property claim and demand both in law and equity of the said Jacob Snider of in and to the aforesaid bargained land and premises~ To have and to hold the land and premises hereby bargained granted sold and conveyed unto the said Zacharias Albaugh his heirs and assigns to the only proper use and behoof of the said Zacharias Albaugh his heirs and assigns forever and to and for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever And the said Jacob Snider for himself and his heirs doth covenant promise and agree to and with the said Zacharias Albaugh his heirs and assigns that he the said Jacob Snider and his heirs the aforesaid parcel of land and every part thereof with the appurtenances unto the said Zacharias Albaugh his heirs and assigns against him the said Jacob Snider and his heirs and against all person or persons claiming by from or under their or any of them shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. hundred and ninety five of the within named Zacharias Albaugh the sum of twenty
four pounds four shillings current money it being the consideration money
within expressed I say received by us in full. As witness my hand
Jacob Snider (seal) On the eighth day of April seventeen hundred
and ninety five came Jacob Snider junior party to the foregoing Instrument of
Writing personally before us the Subscribers two Justices of Frederick County
and acknowledged the same to be his act and deed and the land and premises
therein mentioned to be the Right and estate of the therein named Zacharias
Albaugh his heirs and Assigns forever. At the same time appeared also Catherine
wife of the said Jacob Snider and being examined according to Law she
relinquished all her right and title of dower and declared she did the same
willingly and freely and was not induced thereto by fear or threats of ill usage
from her said husband or for fear of his displeasure.
