Samuel Allbaugh to Thomas Cameron

DEED     Samuel Allbaugh and wife To Thomas Cameron

 

Know all men by these presents, that we Samuel Allbaugh and Ann M. Allbaugh his wife of the County of Harrison and State of Ohio In consideration of the sum of Two Thousand dolls, and interests in hand paid by Thomas Cameron of the County and State aforesaid have bargained and sold and do hereby grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Thomas Cameron his heirs and assigns that following described premises, to wit:   Being a part of the W. W. Quarter, of section six (6) Township twelve (12) and range six (6) Steubenville Land District.  Beginning at a stone at the North w. corner of said section S 88¼ E 56.8 perches a Jack Oak 12 in N 64 W. 29 links.  Thence S 2 ¼º W 112.66 perches to Chestnut Oak 18 inches S 34½º E 27 links.  Thence N 88¼º W56.8 perches to a stone.  Thence W 2¼º E 112.66 perches to the place of beginning containing (40) Forty Acres. To have and to hold unto the said Thomas Cameron his heirs and assigns together with all the privileges thereunto belonging or in way appertaining, and the said Samuel Allbaugh and Ann M. Allbaugh his wife do for themselves their heirs and assigns covenant that they are the true and lawful of the same and they have full power to sell the same.  And they will forever warrant and defend the same against all lawful claims of any person whomsoever.
                In Testimony whereof, the said Samuel Allbaugh and Ann M. Allbaugh his wife have hereunto set their hands and seals This 3rd day of April A.D. 1872.

State of Ohio, Harrison County, SS.
                Before me W.B. Johnston, a Justice of the Peace in and for said County, Personally came the Samuel Allbaugh and Ann M. Allbaugh his wife and acknowledged the signing and sealing of the same to be their voluntary act and deed and the said Ann M. Allbaugh being at the same time examined by me separate and apart from her husband, and the contents of the said instrument made known to her by me she then declared that she did voluntarily sign seal and acknowledge the same and that she is still satisfied therewith this third day of April A.D. 1872.

I hereby certify that the Deed of which the foregoing is a copy had an adhesive stamp attached to the value of Two Dollars.  I further certify that said Deed was entered for record May 16th, 1872 and Recorded May 20th 1872.
