Jacob Row to William H. Albaugh

} At the request of Wm H. Albaugh the following Deed This Indenture made the 19th day of October in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty one, Between Jacob Row and Susannah his wife of Frederick County and State of Maryland of the one part and William H. Albaugh of the county and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Jacob Row and Susannah Row his wife, or and in consideration of the sum of One hundred and two dollars current money to them in hand paid by the said William H, Albaugh at and before the dealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof the said Jacob Row and Susannah Row his wife doth hereby acknowledge and from every part and parcel thereof doth hereby acquit exonerate and discharge the said William H. Albaugh his heirs executors and administrators they the said Jacob Row and Susannah his wife hath granted, bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain, sell, alien, release, enfeoff and confirm unto the said William H. Albaugh his heirs and assigns forever, all that lot or portion of ground and premises it being Lott number Twelve in the addition to Frederick Town fronting sixty two feet on fifth street and running Back to Sixth Street in Frederick Town in the county & State aforesaid, it being the same property which was conveyed to the said Jacob Row by John Nelson Esquire. Together with all and singular the buildings, improvements and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and all the estate, right, title, interest and claim of the said Jacob Row and Susannah Row his wife, both at Law and in equity of in and to the said Lott or portion of ground and every part and parcel thereof. To have and to hold all and singular the said lott or portion of ground hereby bargained and sold, or meant, mentioned or intended hereby so to be and every part and parcel thereof with every of its appurtenances into the said William H. Albaugh his heirs and assigns forever and to and for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever, securely warranted & forever defend, by the said Jacob Row and Susannah Row his wife against them and their heirs and against all and every person or persons whatsoever claiming or to claim any right title or interest in and to the same or any part thereof by from or under him, then or any of them. In witness whereof the said Jacob Row and Susannah Row his wife hath here unto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year first before written. Signed sealed and delivered
} Jacob Row (seal) Which is thus endorsed viz: State of Maryland, Frederick County Sct: On
this 19th day of October in the year of our Lord One thousand and
eight hundred and thirty one, Before the subscribers, two Justices of the Peace
for the county aforesaid appears Jacob Row, party grantor within named and
acknowledged the foregoing Deed or Instrument of writing to be his act and deed
and the lott and premises therein mentioned and hereby bargained and sold, to be
their right and estate of the within named William H. Albaugh party grantee also
therein named his heirs and assigns forever according to the purport true intent
and meaning of the within Deed or instrument of writing and the acts of assembly
in such cases made and provided and now at the same time also personally
appeared Susannah Row within mentioned wife of said Jacob Row and acknowledged
the within Deed or instrument of writing to be her act and deed and signed seals
executes and acknowledges the same, out of the presence and hearing of her said
husband Jacob Row and acknowledges the lott and premises within mentioned to be
the right and estate of William H. Albaugh party grantee within mentioned, his
heirs and assigns forever and the said Susannah Row, being by us privately
examined apart from and out of the presence and hearing of her said husband
whether she doth make her acknowledgement of the within Deed or instrument
voluntarily and freely and without being induced thereto by fear of threats of
or ill usage by her said husband for fear of his displeasure. Acknowledged that
she doth make her acknowledgement of the same freely and voluntarily and without
being induced thereto by fear of his displeasure or ill usage by her said
husband or fear of his displeasure.
