Catharine Rider to Reuben Albaugh


Know all men by these presents that I Catharine Rider, wife of George Rider, in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars in hand paid by Reuben Albaugh do hereby remise, release and forever quit claim unto the said Reuben Albaugh his heirs and assigns forever all my right, title, interest and estate legal and equitable the following premises with the appurtenances situated near the line of Bolingreen Jefferson County, State of Ohio  and bounded as follows to wit, being part of Section twenty five, Township eight and range two.  Beginning at a stone in the state road leading from Richmond to Knoxville from which the north east corner of John C. Smiths shop bears south eighteen west one hundred and six links thence east thirty four perches  to a post in David Ridenours field thence North twenty seven and a half east twenty three perches to Isaiah Hinters? And John C. Smiths line to a white oak twenty inches in diameter bears south thirty west fifteen links thence west forty four and on half perches to a stone east of the Road thence South twenty and on half perches to place of beginning containing five acres more or less being the same piece of land conveyed to George Rider by Greenbury Cranfield and Margaret his wife by deed  Bearing date the fifteenth day of August 1835 leaving and rezoning and  Excepting two small parcels of land contained in the above boundary heretofore conveyed by the said George Rider the one to Reuben Albaugh and the other to John Stevenson the description of which will more fully appear from the deeds of said Albaugh & Stevenson with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging.  In testimony whereunto I have set my hand and seal this twenty fifth day of August 1852.

Before me George Culp a Justice of the Peace in and for said County personally appeared the above named Catharine Rider and acknowledged the signing and sealing of the above release or quit claim to be her voluntary act and deed this 25th day of August A.D. 1852.
