Peter Albaugh to Susannah Eader

At the request of Susannah Eader
the following Bill of Sale is Know all men by these presents that Peter
Albaugh of Frederick County and State of Maryland for and in consideration of
the sum of thirty dollars current money to me in hand paid by Susannah Eader of
the County and State aforesaid at or before the ensealing and delivery of these
presents the receipt whereof I the said Peter Albaugh do hereby acknowledge have
granted, bargained and sold and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell
unto the said Susannah Eader her executors, administrators and assigns one
feather bed, bedstead and all furniture thereto belonging, one poplar chest,
four Windsor chairs, on white shoat one walnut leaf table, one small walnut
Table, one small iron pot, one dutch oven, one skillet , eight cups and eight
saucers, fourteen pewter table spoons, eight pewter tea spoons, five delf
plates, two wooden Buckets, one glass bottle, two tin coffee pots, one teapot,
one bread basket, two earthen dishes, two flour barrels with some flour in one,
spinning wheels, one bedstead, parcel of sole and upper leather, seven dunghill
fowls, one shoe bench, twenty shoe lasts, eight pounds of spun cotton, two
pounds of hackled flax, two pounds of tow thread, three earthen dishes, one axe,
one Band box, one basket, half a bushel of onions, one iron candle stick, one
snuffer, three knives, three forks, and all my shoemakers tool to the said
Susannah Eader her executors, administrators and assigns forever and the said
Peter Albaugh for myself my heirs, executors and administrators the
aforementioned property to the said Susannah Eader her executors, administrators
and assigns against me the said Peter Albaugh, my executors and administrators
and against all and every person and persons whomsoever shall and will warrant
and forever defend by these presents provided nevertheless that in case I the
said Peter Albaugh shall pay and satisfy to the said Susannah Eader or to her
executors, administrators or assigns the sum of thirty dollars current money
with interest for the same on or before the twenty seventh day of January next
ensuing, then this Bill of Sale and every matter and thing therein expressed
shall be void and of none effect it being the true intent and meaning thereof
that the aforementioned property is Bill of Sale by me the said Peter Albaugh to
secure to the said Susannah Eader of the money aforesaid. In witness whereof I
the said Peter Albaugh have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the twenty
ninth day of July eighteen hundred and thirteen. Which is thus endorsed, to wit; Maryland, Frederick County, to wit ~~ On
this 29th day of July 1813 before me one of the Justices of the peace
in and for said County appears Peter Albaugh and acknowledges the foregoing
writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof
and the act of Assembly in such case made and provided ~ Witness my hand
