Edward Parkinson to Peter Albaugh
Exam’d Del’d } At the
request of Peter Albaugh the following Deed was Recorded
*** Albaugh } March the 16th A.D. 1779. To
Wit. ~
July 1781 This Indenture made the fourth day of
March one thousand seven hundred and seventy nine Between Edward Parkinson and
John Parkinson of Fredk, County and State of Maryland Farmers of the one part
and Peter Albaugh of the County and State aforesaid of the other part.
Witnesseth that the said Edwd Parkinson and John Parkison for and in
Consideration of the sum of Two thousand pounds Common Currency Money to them in
hand paid by the said Peter Albaugh before the sealing and delivery of these
presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged doth granted Bargained and
sold and by these presents doth doth grant bargain sell transfer and make over
unto the said Peter Albaugh his Heirs and Assigns forever all the Tract of Land
called the Two Brothers being part of a Tract of Land called the Resurvey on
Welsh Cabbin situate lying and being in the county aforesaid Beginning at the
end of the nineteenth line of the aforesaid Resurvey deed running thence VIZ.~
North thirty one degrees East thirty six perches then North Ten degrees East
twenty six perches then North twenty Degrees West thirty two perches then North
seventy two degrees East One hundred and forty perches then North forty two
Degrees East thirty perches then South fifty seven degrees East One hundred and
thirty perches then South forty five degrees west two hundred and sixteen
perches to the Eighth line of a Tract of Land owned by Carmack to Mayor Joseph
Wood the with said Land Revised North sixty four degrees West thirty perches
then South forty eight degrees west eighty perches then North Thirty two degrees
west twenty seven perches then by a straight line to the Beginning containing
two hundred and forty one acres of Land more or less Together with all
Buildings Improvements and other appurtenances unto the same Belonging or in
anyways appertaining To have and to Hold all and singular the said Tract or
parcel of land and premises thereto Belonging unto him the said Peter Albaugh
his Heirs and Assigns forever and the said Edwd Parkinson and John Parkinson for
themselves their Heirs Exers and Adms doth covenant and agree to and with the
said Peter Albaugh his heirs and assigns that the said Edward Parkinson and John
Parkinson their heirs Exec’rs and Adm’s shall and will warrant and forever
defend the said Land and premises unto him the said Peter Albaugh his Heirs and
Assigns forever against all manner of persons whatsoever Claiming or that shall
or may, hereafter claim any right Title Interest of in or to the aforesaid Land
or any part thereof *firmly or under them and also shall and will at the request
and at the Cost and charges of him, the said Peter Albaugh his Heirs or Assigns
or his or their Council learnt in the Law shall and may reasonably advised
devised or request Do make Acknowledge and execute any other Deed or Instrument
of Writing that the said Peter Albaugh his Heirs or Assigns shall Advise devise
or require for the further and better Assurances Surety and Sure making of all
and any wise the said Land and premises unto him the said Peter Albaugh his
Heirs and Assigns~~ provided that such other Deed or Instrument of Writing that
the said Peter Albaugh his Heirs or Assigns shall be Devise or require be no
other Warranty then is Intended by the above Instrument of Writing ~~ Witness
whereof they, the said Edwd Parkinson and John Parkinson hath hereunto set their
hand s and affixed their seals the Day and year above written.

The proceding Deed was thus Indorsed to wit ~~
Recd the 4th day of March 1779 of Peter Albaugh the sum of Two
Thousand pounds common current money being the Consideration money within
mentioned for the within mentioned Land and premises

On the 4th day of March 1779 came
Edward Parkinson and John Parkinson Before us the Subscribers, two of the
Justices of the Peace for Frederick County and acknowledged the within mentioned
Land and premises to be the Right and Estate of the within named Peter Albaugh
his Heirs and Assigns forever According to Act of Assembly in that case made
and provided and at the same time came Dinah Parkinson wife of the said Edwd
Parkinson and also Nancy Parkinson wife of the said John Parkinson and being
examined apart from their said husbands Declares that they doth relinquish all
their Right of Dower of in and to the within mentioned Land and premises and
that they doth the same freely and voluntarily and was not induced or compelled
thereto by threats of or Ill usage of their husbands or fear of their
displeasure.
