RAYMOND  J.  ALBAUGH            (hand dated 11/24/1976)
     Raymond Joseph Albaugh, 80, Detour, died Saturday at an area hospital.
He was born in Frederick County, a son of the late George William and Ella Handley Albaugh.
Albaugh was a farmer all his life.   He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the VFW post in Emmitsburg.
     He was also a member of Hugh's Mount Zion Lutheran Church.
     He is survived by his wife, Phoebe Grossnickle Albaugh; one daughter, Betty Boone, Westminster; four brothers, Guy Albaugh of Frederick; Walter Albaugh of Detour; Clarence Albaugh of Taneytown, and Harvey Albaugh of Rocky Ridge; and two sisters, Bertha Sweeney, of Thurmont, and Hazel Renner, Rocky Rdige.
     Arrangements are by Creager Funeral Home, Thurmont.
     Albaugh will be taken to Haugh's Lutheran Church at 10 a.m. where services will be held at 11 a.m.   The Rev. Nathan Kale will officiate.
     Burial will be in the church cemetery.


PHEBE   E.  ALBAUGH     (hand dated  9/8/1982)
     Phebe Ellen Albaugh, 84, formerly of Detour, died Wednesday at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Mt. Airy after an extended illness.
     Born in Frederick County, she was the daughter od the late Tilman and Alice Carmack Grossnickle.   Her husband, Raymond J. died in 1976.
     She was a lifelong member of Mt. Zion Haugh's Lutheran Church in Ladiesburg.
     Surviving are daughter Betty Boone of Westminster; sister Mary Martz of Walkersville; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
     Burial was in the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church cemetery.


JOHN  W.  ALBAUGH         (hand dated 1934)
      John W. Albaugh, a repairman at the Union Bridge Cement Plant, died at 2:45 p.m. last Friday at his home on Main Street, Union Bridge, after an illness of three months from carcinoma.   He was aged 40 years, three months and 19 days.   He was a son of James and the late Flora Albaugh.   Besides his father he leaves his wife, Mrs. Lotta Albaugh, and three children; Catherine, Mary and Millard, at home.   He was a member of the Union Bridge M. E. church and the K. of P. Lodge of Union Bridge.   The funeral took place Sunday with services in the M. E. Church at Union Bridge at 2 p.m. in charge of the pastor the Rev. E. W. Culp. Interment in Beaver Dam Cemetery.   The pallbearers were fellow employees at the cement plant and K. of P. members as follows: Philip Weller, Harry Yingling, George Lawrence, William Blaxsten, Harry Spurrier and Frank Rowe.


Millie  Kump  Albaugh   died at the age of  84 years, 11 months, 29 days.   She was interred at 11:45 am on July 27, 1977 at Beaver Dam Cemetery, Frederick, MD.   Services were at Hartzler Funeral Home, Union Bridge, Maryland at 11 am on July 22, 1977.    Officiating was the Reverend Marlin Louver. Pall bearers were Clarence Leppo. Samuel Leppo, Roger Grimes, George Otto, Ralph Cartzendafner, and Thomas Haines. She lived with her daughter, Mary Testerman.

Mrs. Millie Kump Albaugh
Mrs. Millie Kump Albaugh, 84, of Union Brisge, died Tuesday, July 19, in the Eldercare Center, Sykesville, after an extended illness. She was born July 20, 1892, in Carroll County, a daughter of the Millard and Sarah Ann Trout Kump. Her husband, John Wesley Albaugh, predeceased her in 1934.
Surviving ate two daughters, Mrs. Kathryn H. Given of Baltimore, and Mrs. Mary A. Testerman, with whom she lived; one son, James M. Albaugh of New Windsor; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs Catharine Eller of Try, Ohio; Mrs. Maude Taylor of Baltimore; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Union Bridge United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 22, at the Union Bridge funeral home of D.D. Hartzler. Rev. Marlin Louver, her pastor, will officiate. Interment will be made in Beaver Dam Cemetery. The amily will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening, July 21.

DORIS  KUMP  ALBAUGH, infant daughter of Mr & Mrs John Albaugh, of near Union Bridge, died June 26 of whooping cough, aged 20 days, and was buried Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock.    Services at the house were conducted by Elder E.J. Gernand to a large number of neighbors and mourning friends.   The remains were interred in Beaver Dam Cemetery.

JAMES  S.  ALBAUGH
     James S. Albaugh, well-known and highly respected citizen of Johnsville, died at his home Monday afternoon, May 18, 1936 at 5 o'clock after a short illness, 70 years of age.   He was survived by a daughter-in-law, Mrs John Albaugh, Westminster, three grandchildren, Miss Kathryn Albaugh, Baltimore, and Miss Mary Albaugh and Millard Albaugh, Johnsville; two sisters, Mrs George Frock, Keysville, and Miss Ola Albaugh, York, PA.   The funeral took place Wednesday afternoon, meeting at the house at 2 o'clock with further services in the M.E. Church, Johnsville, conducted by Rev. E.W. Culp. Interment in the Beaver Dam Cemetery.


MRS  JAMES  ALBAUGH
     Flora E., wife of James Albaugh, died at her home in Johnsville on Thursday morning, March 30, 1933, at 4:30 o'clock after a lingering illiness, aged 64 years, 7 months, 18 days.
     Besides her husband, she leaves one son, John W. Albaugh of Union Bridge, and three grandchildren; also one sister, Mrs Thomas Metz, of Union Bridge and two brothers, Samuel J. Fogle of Edgewood, and John W. Fogle of Medford.
     The funeral will be held Saturday morning, meeting at her late home at ten o'clock with further services in the Johnsville M.E. Church in charge of Rev. E. W. Culp. Interment in Beaver Dam Cemetery.


PARKER  MERTON  ALBAUGH
     An especially sad death occured on Wednesday morning last when Parker M. Albaugh, youngest son of Mr & Mrs Levi A. Albaugh, a very estimable and much beloved young man of Unionville, who died of tuberculosis in his 23rd year.    His funeral took place at Linganore M.E. Church on Saturday morning at 10 o'clock, Rev. D. A. Foard, the Pastor who officiating.   His pallbearers were six young men, members of his Sunday school class: Messrs. Clifton and Benny Dudderar, Wilbur and Guy Baker, Amidee Eckard and John A. Nicodemus.
     The deceased is survived by his parents, his father at this time being seriously afflicted, and two brothers, Ira and John, the latter in the U.S. Service.    The family have the kindest, and most tender sympathy of the community in their specially sad affliction and bereavement.   At the conclusion of the services here the body was conveyed to Haugh's Church Cemetery, near Ladiesburg, where the interment was made.

LAURA  E.  ALBAUGH
, 84, of Libertytown          (hand dated 1/1/1953)
     Laura E. Albaugh died at the age of 84 years at Frederick Memorial Hospital, Frederick County, MD after a one month illness. Mrs. Albaugh lived at Walnut Street, Libertytown, Frederick County, Maryland.
     She was the daughter of the late James R. and Laura Carter Etzler.
     She was a member of Chapel Lutheran Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Libertytown Volunteer Fire Company. Mr. and Mrs. Albaugh celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary last month.
     Surviving are husband John W. Sr.; son John W. Jr. of near Walkersville; sister Margaret E. Messler of Taneytown, Carroll County, Maryland; two grandsons; a granddaughter; a great granddaughter and a number of nieces and nephews.
     Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Libertytown Funeral Home of D.D. Hartzler and Son with the Rev. Harry L. Wolpert, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Chapel Cemetery near Libertytown.
Friends may call at the funeral home tonight.
     Contributions may be made to the memorial fund of Chapel Lutheran Church.


JOHN  W.  ALBAUGH  SR.
     John William Albaugh, Sr. 98, of Libertytown, died Tuesday, January 29, 1991, at Frederick Memorial Hospital, after an illness of two weeks.
     His wife, Laura Edna Etzler Albaugh, died in 1983.
     Mr. Albaugh was a veteran of World War I serving with the U.S. Army.   He was a member of Chapel Lutheran Church, a former dairy farmer until retiring in 1952, he then became sexton of the Chapel Cemetery for 25 years and was then sexton of the Fairmont Cemetery for 20 years.

MRS.  CHARLES  APPLEBY (Lydia E. Albaugh)
     After an illness of two days, from heart failure, Mrs. Charles W. Appleby passed quietly away at her home, 649 Abbottstown Street, on Saturday, September 2, at 9:20 am, at the age of 38 years, 6 months, 4 days.
     Deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Albaugh, late of near Unionville, Frederick County, MD, and moved with her family to Hanover from Johnsville, MD five years ago.
     She is survived by her husband and five children, as follows: Mrs Ida Null, Miss Nellie, William, John and Carl, all living at home. She is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Mollie Koontz, near Ladiesburg, Frederick County, MD; Misses Dora and Ola Albaugh, of near Unionville, MD; and four brothers, James W. of near Johnsville, Levi A., Thomas and Charles Albaugh, of near Unionville, MD.
     Funeral, Tuesday, September 4th, services at the house at 11 am, Rev. A.M. Baker, of the Brethren Church, officiating. Interment in Mt Olivet Cemetery.

Interment: September 4, 1911, Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA.


GEORGE  W.  ALBAUGH, 83           (hand  dated 11/23/1979)
     Services will be held today for George W. Albaugh, 83, of 2429 Francis Scott Key Highway, Taneytown, who died Tuesday at his home.   He was the husband of Vestine A. Honts Albaugh.
     Born near Woodsboro, he was a son of Charles T. and Emma Stottlemyer Albaugh.
     He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Walkersville, Hesson-Snyder American Legion Post 120 of Taneytown, and the Railroad Retired Men's Association. He was an Army veteran of World War I.
     Prior to his retirement, he was employed with the Pennsylvania Railroad for 37 years.
     Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, George F. Albaugh of Keysville; a brother, Jacob Albaugh of Savage; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Hiltebrick of Taneytown and Mrs. Myrtle Adfelt of Columbia; and two grandchildren.
     The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. from the Stauffer Funeral Home, Walkersville.   The Rev. Thomas L. Perry, his pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Woodsboro.


CHARLES  ALBAUGH, 74 of Friendship        (hand dated  2/20/1993)
     Charles Thurmon Albaugh, 74, of West Friendship, died Saturday, February 20, 1993 at his home.
Born January 7, 1919 in Marriottsville, he was the son of the late Harlan and Myrtle Ridgely Albaugh.
     He is survived by his wife Mildred Pickett Albaugh and three stepdaughters Susan Anne Lohman of Sharpsburg, Brenda Lee Custer of Hagerstown and Barbara Jean Oberholzer of Greencastle, PA.; two stepsons, Burgess Miller Jr. of Boonsboro, MD., and Wayne Douglas Miller of Waynesboro, PA.; two sisters, Mary Cole of Cockeysville, and Doria Guy of Owings Mills; 11 grandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
     He was a retired electrician and a veteran of World War II.
     Funeral services will be held at the Haight Funeral Home, MD. 32, Sykesville on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with Dr. David Kolda officiating. Interment will be in St. Johns Cemetery, Ellicott City.
     Friends may call at the Haight Funeral Home, Sykesville on Monday from 7 - 9 p.m.


CLARENCE   E.  ALBAUGH         (hand dated 10/28/1975)
     Services were held Sunday for Clarence E. Albaugh, 81, 224 South Main St., Manchester, who died Thursday in a Hanover hospital.  He was the husband of Elsie Yingling Albaugh, who died last April. Born in Carroll County, he was the son of John and Elizabeth Bassler Albaugh.
     He was a retired painter and paperhanger, a member of St. John's (Leister's) Lutheran Church and the Manchester Fire Company.
     He is survived by two daughters, Miss Dorothy L. Albaugh, Manchester; Mrs. Louise Geistfeld, Woodlake, MN, and five grandchildren.
     Funeral services were held at the Eline Funeral Home, 923 S. Main St., Hampstead with the Rev. Albert A. Makolin, his pastor, in charge. Burial was in Leister's Cemetery.


MRS.  CLARENCE   E.   ALBAUGH     (hand dated 4/11/1975)
     Mrs. Elsie W. Albaugh, 76, died last night at the Long View Nursing Home, Manchester.   She lived at 224 South Main St., Manchester.     She was born in Carroll County, a daughter of the late Joseph and Caroline Sterner Yingling.   She is survived by her husband, Clarence E. Albaugh; two daughters, Miss Dorothy C. Albaugh, Manchester and Mrs. Louise Geistfeld, Woodlake, MN; five grandchildren and one brother, Ralph Yingling, Hampstead.     She was a member of St. John's (Leister's) Lutheran Church and a member of the Manchester Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.    Funeral services will be held at the Eline Funeral Home 934 South Main St. Hampstead, Saturday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Albert Makolin, her pastor, officiating.   Burial will be in Leister's Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday and Friday 7 to 9 p.m.


ISAAC  I.  ALBAUGH         (no date given - abt 1928)
     Stricken with heart failure while sawing wood in the yard of his home at Ladiesburg, Isaac I. Albaugh, a highly-respected resident of that section, dropped dead about 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon.
     He seemed in his usual good health when he completed the noon meal and was in the best of spirit.   He was sawing wood, vigorously and it is believed the vigorous exercise brought on a heart attack.
     When they saw him fall, members of the family ran t him and removed him to the house.   A doctor was summoned from Union Bridge and pronounced death due to heart failure.
     The deceased was aged 69 years old and maintained his health and vigor to the very end.   He is survived by his widow, who before marriage was Mrs. George Clabaugh.
     The following children survive: Mrs. Susan Gracely, Spencerville, O.; Mrs. Ella Garberdiel, Lima, O.; John Albaugh, Dayton. One brother, William Albaugh and the following stepchildren also survive: Mrs. James Leakins, Johnsville; Mrs. Florence Eichelberger, Frederick; Mrs. Robert Frank Claybaugh, Melvin Claybaugh, and Reese Claybaugh, all of Ladiesburg.
     The funeral took place Saturday morning at 10 o'clock with services at the late home and further services at the chapel at Ladiesburg, conducted by Rev. David Wilson. Burial in Haugh's Cemetery.


MALVIN  S. C.  ALBAUGH, 87 of Baltimore      (hand dated 11/29/1989)
     Malvin S.C. Albaugh, 87, of Baltimore, died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 1989, at the Augsburg Lutheran Home, Woodlawn.
     Born in Snydersburg, he was the son of the late Harry Oden and Mary Jane Wise Albaugh.   He was the husband of the late Dora Catharine Henry Albaugh.
     He was a retired draftsman for Westinghouse Corp.
     Surviving is his daughter Mary C. Albaugh of Baltimore.
     Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 7902 Liberty Road, Baltimore. Interment will be in the Friedensaal Cemetery, Glen Rock, PA.
     Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Loring Byers Funeral Chapel, 8728 Liberty Road, Randallstown.

NORMA  O.  ALBAUGH, 66, of Hampstead     (hand dated 7/28/1986)
     Norma Osborn Albaugh, 66, of Hampstead died Saturday, July 26, at University Hospital in Baltimore after a brief illness.
     Born in Baltimore County, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary Gayleard Osborn.
     Her husband, Elmo T. Albaugh, died in 1979.
     Before retiring, she worked as a claims examiner for the Social Security Administration.
     She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Hampstead.
     She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Bonnie A. amd Melvin H. Brundick of Westminster; son Thomas W. of Hampstead; sisters Mildred Nolte of Boring, Violet Rawlings of Silver Run, Evelyn Love of Hanover, PA, Ruth Caples of Brunswick, GA, and Esther Gompf of Manchester; and two grandchildren.
     Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main St., Hampstead, with the Rev. Matthew S. Schenning in charge.    Burial will be in Hampstead Cemetery.
     Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

MRS.  HOWARD  C.  ALBAUGH         (hand dated 1972)
      Services were held Friday, December 15, for Winnie B. Albaugh, 83, of 104 Summit Avenue, Hampstead, who died Tuesday night, December 12, at Hanover Hospital.
      She was the wife of the late Howard C. Albaugh and daughter of the late Jacob H. and Susan Snyder Gummel.
     She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
     She was a member of St. Mary's Lutheran Church, Hampstead, and the Hampstead Senior Citizens.
     Funeral services were held at St. Mark's Church Friday at 2 p.m. The Rev. William C. Roeger, her pastor, officiated. Burial was in Hampstead Cemetery.


MISS   H.   MADELINE    ALBAUGH      (hand dated 2/4/1975)
      Helen Madeline Albaugh, 61, of 1818 Baltimore Blvd., Westminster, near Bethel Road, died Tuesday afternoon at the Westminster Nursing and Convalescent Center, where she had been a patient since Dec. 27.   She had been in declining health for almost a year.   She was a native of Carroll County, the daughter of John P. and Helen Wisner Albaugh.   She was a retired employee of the Baltimore Gas and Electric Co., where she had been employed for 28 years.    She was a member of the Carrollton Church of God.   She had no immediate survivors and resided with an aunt, Mrs. Hazel Smith.   Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Myers-Pritts Funeral Home, Willias St. and Longwell Ave., Westminster.   Her pastor, the Rev. James W. Moss and a former pastor, the Rev. Cronise H. Barr, will officiate and burial will be in the Carrollton Church Cemetery.   Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday and Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.


HILDA  R.  ALBAUGH             (hand dated 3/2/1976)
      Services were held Friday for Hilda Reisler Albaugh, wife of the late Carroll Albaugh, formerly of Westminster, who died on Wednesday.
      She was born in Saint Micheals, the daughter of the late Edward and Emma Florence Stoner Reisler.
      Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. I.O. Wright, Towson, and Mrs. Clarence Reign, Westchester, PA; a nephew, Orville R. Wright Sr., Towson; and three nieces, Mrs. F.S. Donnelly Sr., Towson, Mrs. William B. Wilke III, Munster, IN., and Mrs. Marshall Stapleford, Westchester, PA.
      Mrs. Albaugh was a member of the Westminster United Methodist Church.
      Services were held at the Smith, Fadeley, Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Burial was in Westminster Cemetery, Westminster.


HARMON  G.  M.  ALBAUGH, 73, of Glen Burnie      (hand dated 2/17/1986)
     Harmon G.M. Albaugh, 73, of Glen Burnie, died Saturday at his home.
Born in Frederick County, he was a son of the late Charles David and Nettie M. Harmon Albaugh.
     Before he retired, he worked as a guard with the state penal system. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
     He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Taneytown; Hesson-Snider Post 120 Americna Legion, Taneytown; past vice commander of the Department of Maryland American Legion; member of the 40 and 8; Taneytown Rod and Gun Club; National Rifle Association, American ssociation of Retired Persons; Monocacy Lodge A.F. & A.M. 203 of Taneytown; Scottish Rite Free Masonry; and Boumi Temple of Baltimore.
     Surviving are his wife Katherine Fleagle Albaugh; sons George T. of Baltimore and James A. serving with the U.S. Army in Honolulu; brother J. Thomas of Taneytown; and three grandchildren.
     Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Skiles Funeral Home, Taneytown, with his Rev. Arthur L. Mentzer, his pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Baust Church Cemetery, Tyrone.
    The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.


MARY  L.  ALBAUGH, 82, of Johnsville          
     Mary Louise Albaugh, 82, of Johnsville, died Thursday Dec. 24, 1992, at Frederick Memorial Hospital after an illness of two months.
     Born March 11, 1910, at Oak Orchard in Frederick County, she was a daughter of the late John and Ida Zimmerman Rippeon. She was the wife of the late Roger Irving "Hux" Albaugh, who died in 1984.
     She was a member of the Johnsville United Methodist Church.
     Surviving are three daughters, Mary Sue Reaver of Johnsville, Eleanor Hope of Libertytown and Doris Holtzople of Gettysburg, PA; one son, Thomas I. Albaugh of Union Bridge; two sisters, Isabelle Green of Mt. Airy and Mamie Stonesifer of Littlestown, PA; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
     Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Libertytown Funeral Home of D.D. Hartzler with her pastor, the Rev. Dwight Sheesley, officiating. Interment will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Libertytown.
     Friends may call Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.


MRS.  LESLIE  ALBAUGH        (hand dated 3/2/1977)
     Mrs. Nellie R. Albaugh, 88, widow of Leslie Albaugh, of Beaver Dam Road, Union Bridge, Route 1, died Sunday in a Pennsylvania hospital, after an illness of several weeks.
     She was born in Frederick County, a daughter of the late Isaac P. and Harriett Bellison Stitely.  She was twice married, her first husband was the late David Bostian.
     Surviving are on sister, Mrs. Annie Singer, Citizens Nursing Home, Frederick; and several nieces and nephews.
     Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Union Bridge Funeral Home of D.D. Harzler.   Elder Howard Lewis, of the Old Order German Baptist Church, will officiate.  Burial will be in Beaver Dam Cemetery, near Union Bridge.


SARAH  ALBAUGH, 70, of Sykesville      (hand dated 6/16/1982)
     Sarah Bennett Albaugh, 70, of Sykesville, died Tuesday at Baltimore County General Hospital in Randallstown after a brief illness.
    She was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Sykesville Fire Co. and a graduate of Hannah More Academy.
     Born in Carroll, she was the daughter of the late Tennington and Edna Bennett.
     Surviving are daughter Ruth Donaldson of Newport, Maine; son Edward P. of South Weymouth, Mass.; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
     Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Sykesville with the Rev. Joseph Burroughs officiating.  Interment will be in Springfield Cemetery.  Friends may call today at Haight Funeral Home near Sykesville from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m.


JAMES  M.  ALBAUGH, 70, of New Windsor
     James Millard Albaugh, 70, of New Windsor, died Thursday, May 17, 1990 at Carroll County General Hospital after an extended illness.
     Born Nov. 4, 1919 in Carroll County, he was the son of the late John Wesley and Millie Kump Albaugh. His wife Charlotte Virginia Weller Albaugh died 1988.
     During World War II he served in the U.S. Army with the 309th Infantry of the 78th Division in the European Theater, France, Belgium and Germany.   He was wounded on Feb. 15, 1945 in Schmidt, Germany. He was employed as a machinist at the Crown Cork and Seal Company in Baltimore for 46 years before retiring in 1982.
     He was a member of the New Windsor Fire Company for 42 years, serving in many capacities.  He was a member of VFW Post 8806 of Union Bridge and the American Legion Post 31 of Westminster.
     Surviving are his daughter Virginia Lee Long of New Windosr; sons James Allen Albaugh of near Union Bridge and John Carroll Albaugh of Westminster; sisters Mary Testerman of Union Bridge and Kathryn Givens of Baltimore; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
     Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday at the New Windsor Funeral Home of D.D. Hartzler with the Rev. Carroll M. Brown, lay pastor of Sudbrook United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Winter's Cemetery near New Windsor.
     The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, where memorial services will be conducted by the New Windsor Volunteer Fire Company at 8 p.m.

CHARLOTTE  V.  ALBAUGH
     New Windsor - Charlotte Virginia Albaugh, 68, of 404 Main St., New Windsor, died Monday, July 11, 1988 at Frederick Memorial Hospital, following an extended illness.
     Born April 9, 1920, in Carroll County, she was a daughter of Helena Otto and the late Carroll William Weller.
     She was employed for 22 years at the Brethren Service Center in New Windsor, retiring in 1978.
     Surviving in addition to her mother, are her husband, James Millard Albaugh; a daughter, Virginia Lee Long of New Windsor; two sons, James Allen Albaugh of near Union Bridge and John Carroll Albaugh of Westminster; a sister, Madeline Bowers of Westminster; three brothers, Carroll and Abram Weller, both of Westminster, and Wilbur Weller of New Windsor; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
     The funeral will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the New Windsor funeral home of D.D. Hartzler.  The Rev. James Flora, pastor of Frederick Church of Brethren, will officiate.  Burial will be in Winter's Cemetery, near New Windsor.   The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.

     Albert E. Albaugh, 66, of RFD 2, New Windsor, died unexpectedly while vacationing in Rock Hall, Kent county, Tuesday at 4:00 a.m.    Death was due to a heart attack.  Born in Baltimore, a son of William J. and Elis Brant Albaugh, he was a member of the New Windsor Presbyterian Church where he served as Elder.  He was retired as a carpenter with  ** ***** Corp. in Silver Run.
     Surviving besides his wife, Mrs Dorothy Glenn Albaugh, are one daughter, Mrs. Fred McKinney, New Windsor; two sons, Glenn W.Albaugh and * Edward Albaugh, Jr., both of near New Windsor, eight grandchildren all survive.
     Friends may call at the New Windsor funeral home of D.D. Hartzler and Sons Thursday evening.  Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home Friday at 11:00 a.m. by the paster, the Rev. O. Thomas Kolb.  Interment will be in Fairmont Cemetery, Libertytown.


MRS ALICE S. ALBAUGH  
     Mrs. Alice S. Albaugh, widow of Levi A. Albaugh died Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at home of her son, Jon W. Albaugh, New Paris, near Libertytown, following an illness of five weeks.  A daughter of the late John and Sarah Pittenger, she was born October 19, 1862 in Frederick county and was aged 87 years.  Her husband predeceased her by 31(?) years.  Besides her son with whom she resided, she is survived by two grandsons and one brother and two sisters, Usher Pittenger...Linwood, Mrs. Charles Miller...Taneytown, Miss Hester Pittenger...Washington.  She was a member of the Union Bridge Lutheran church.
     Funeral services will be conducted at the late home Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. by Rev. Reese Poffenberger.  Interment in Haugh's Cemetery.   Friends may call at the Albaugh home this evening.   D.D. Hartzler and Son Funeral director.

     A. Ridgely Albaugh, Sr., 63, well-known resident of near Libertytown died suddenly Wednesady at 4:30 p.m. at his home. Death was due to a heart attack.
     He was born in Frederick county, a son of the late Abdiel and Maude Dutrow Albaugh.
     Surviving are his wife, E. Rebecca Hamilton Albaugh; one son, A. Ridgely Albaugh, Jr., The Plains, VA; one daughter, Mrs. Ceceilla Tucker of Falls Church, VA; four grandchildren; one brother, Paul E. Albaugh, Urbana; one sister, Miss Helen E.      Benjamin Franklin Albaugh, infant son of Ernest and Mary L. Baublitz Albaugh, Jr., South Water Street died at birth Thursday at the Frederick Memorial Hospital.
     Surviving besides his parents is a half-brother Richard Phebus of Baltimore. Also surviving are his paternal grandparents Ernest Albaugh, Sr. of Line Kiln and Mrs. Helen E. Dixon of Frederick, and his maternal grandfather; Benjamin Baublitz of Frederick.
     Interment was today in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Robert E. Dailey and Sons Funeral directors. Graveside service were held at 10:30 a.m.

     Mrs. Bertha B. Albaugh died this morning at the home of her son, C. Holly Albaugh, Unionville, after a lengthy illness.  She was born in Frederick county, daughter of the late Edward and Mary Lindsay, and was aged 83 years.
     Mrs. Albaugh was the widow of Thomas G. Albaugh.  Besides her son, she is survived by three sisters; Mrs. Dora Weer; Mrs. Olive Fortthman; both of Sykesville, Mrs. Edna Koontz, Washington; and two grandchildren.
     The body is at the funeral home at Winfield where services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m.  Rev.      Miss Bertha Lee Albaugh,
53, of New Midway, died at Frederick Memorial Hospital toady at 12:50 a.m. after  an immediate illness of two days.   Born in Frederick county, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Emma Lee Slottlermyer Albaugh.

CARL A. ALBAUGH   - hand dated 2/26/1941
   
Carl Albert Albaugh , a resident of Taneytown, died at the home of his son-in-law and daughter Mr. & Mrs. Frank H. Starner, 4 Water Street, at 8:30 o'clock Monday morning.  He had been ill for two weeks, and was visiting here when he succumbed to a heart attack.  He was 54 years of age.
     Mr. Albaugh had been a steward at the Central Hotel in Taneytown for the past 24 years.  Before that time he lived in Frederick, and was employed for a number of years at the Ox Fibre Brush Company.
     He was a son of the late Christian S. and Carrie Shank Albaugh, and is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Frank H. Starner, of Frederick; a brother, Ingomar Albaugh, Frederick; a niece Miss Mabel Hooper, Chicago, and 3 grandchildren of Frederick.

Mrs. Caroline B. Albaugh, wife of Edwin D. Albaugh, who resided at Rt 4, Frederick (Stone Road), died on Saturday morning, Sept 1, at her residence after a lengthy illness.  She was born in Frederick on January 9, 1915, the daughter of the late Lewis A. and Irene C. Stollemyer Baumgardner.
     Mrs. Albaugh had been employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse and was a member of the Evangelical United Church of Christ.
     Surviving in addition to her husband are: one daughter, Mrs. Grossnickle, Frederick; 8 brothers, Henry E. Baumgardner, Baltimore; Lewis D. Baumgardner, Fred A. Baumgardner, and John A. Baumgardner all of Frederick; George T. Baumgardner, Mt. Airy; Grant S. Baumgardner and Herman E. Baumgardner, both of Frederick and Altee D. Baumgardner, Baltimore; and one half-brother, Michael A.      Mrs. Cecelia Hendrickson Albaugh, 337 South Market Street, widow of Jasper Albaugh, died Thursday at 5:45 p.m., in Frederick Memorial Hospital after a brief illness of complications.  She was 69 years of age.
     She was a daughter of the late William Ephriam and Frances Rebecca Davis Hendrickson of Frederick County.  Surviving are two children, William N. Albaugh, Route 3, Frederick, and Mrs. John B. Gardener, this city, two sisters, Mrs. Philip H. Lee, Pleasant Grove, Mrs. Fred R. Landon, Wichita Falls, Texas, three grandchildren, Mrs. Lee A. Thomas, Annville, PA, Iris Len and W. Nicholas Albaugh, Route 3, Frederick, and two nieces also survive.

Charles David Albaugh,  77 Walkersville, died in the Annie M. Warner Hospital, Gettysburg, PA Friday at 9:30 a.m. after an illness of three weeks.  Born August 2, 1884, in Frederick County, he was a son of the late George E. and Alice Beck         Albaugh.
     Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Nettie Harmon Albaugh; two sons, J. Thomas, Taneytown, and Harmon G., Glen Burnie, and two grandchildren.
     He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Taneytown, and was formerly an agent for the Pennsylvania Railroad, retiring about 20 years ago.
     The body is at the Woodsboro funeral home of Powe;; and Hartzler, where services will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m.  His pastor, Rev. Howard Miller, will offciate and interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Woodsboro.  Friends may call at the funeral home after Sunday noon.

     C. Holly Albaugh, 69, well known retired Unionville farmer, husband of Deila O. Albaugh died Wednesday at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
     Born in Frederick County, he was a son of the late Thomas and Bertha Lindsay Albaugh.
     He was a member of Locust Grove Church of the Brethren and was an active member of  the  Maryland Farm Bureau.
     Surviving in addition to his wife, are a daughter Mrs. Oneda Johnson, Unionville, and a foster son William Pearl, Annapolis.

MRS. E. GUY ALBAUGH  - hand dated 6/30/1962
    
Mrs. Catharine L. Albaugh, widow of Edgar Guy Albaugh, died Saturday at 4:00 p.m. at the Vindebona Convalescent and Nursing Home, where she had been a resident for nearly two years.  She was born September 25, 1873, the daughter of Casper C. and Mary Viertz Crum.  Mrs. Albaugh was a life long resident of Frederick, and the last of her immediate family.
     In 1919 she, with her late husband, founded the Crystal Laundry which is now one of the largest Laundry & Dry Cleaning establishments in Frederick.  She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, of the Blessed Mother Society and as honorary member of the Catholic Daughters of America.
     Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Marshall (Victoria) McCauley, and Mrs. Austin C. (Louise) Thomas, and two grandsons; Robert C. Thomas, Salisbury, N.C. and Richard A. Thomas, Towson, and 4 great grandchildren.

     Besides his wife, Mrs. Emma Lee Stottlemyer Albaugh, he is survived by the following children; Leslie O. Albaugh, near Union Bridge; Mrs. Margaret E. Smith, Woodsboro; Jacob Albaugh, Savage, Md.; Harlan K. Albaugh, Henryton Sanatorium; Mrs. Gallard Putman, Rocky Ridge; George W. Albaugh, Baltimore; Clarence U. Albaugh, at home; Mrs. Myrtle Affeldt, Ellicott City; Mrs. Edith Gruber, Rocky Ridge; Miss Lee Albaugh, at home.   Twenty-eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one sister, Miss Cora Albaugh, Harrisburg, Pa also survive.
     Funeral services for Charles T.B. Albaugh, who died Thursday evening, were held from the late home, near Libertytown, Sunday afternoon at 12:30 o'clock.  Rev. Seward R. Charles Thomas Albaugh   -  hand dated 4/8/1952
     Charles Thomas Albaugh, 38 years old, employee of the S.W. Barrick and Sons, Inc., lime company, Woodsboro, was electrocuted about 3:45 p.m. Friday while at work unloading a hoisted bucket of stone into the crusher. 
     Albaugh was a native of Howard County, born September 18, 1914.  He lived with his wife, Betty Jane Foreman Albaugh, and their 1 ½ year old daughter Shirley Anne, near Woodsboro.  Surviving besides the widow and the daughter are his mother, Mrs. Elsie Albaugh Putnam, his step-father Garland Putman; two half-brothers, Gailord and Russell Putman, all of near Woodsboro.
     The body rests at the funeral home in Walkersville, where friends may call after 5:00 o'clock this evening.  Funeral services will be conducted there Monday at 2 p.m.
Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Woodsboro.  G.C. Barton funeral director.


Charles W. Albaugh -  hand dated 6/1/1961
     Charles Washington Albaugh, 58 years old, retired farmer and furniture dealer of Detour, died very suddenly Thursday evening May 25, 1961 at his home.  He had been under the care of a doctor for a heart condition.
     He farmed for a number of years near Detour.  About three years ago, due to ill health, he retired from farming and opened a furniture store in Detour.  He traded under the name of Quality Furniture Compnay.  He had *** furniture, appliances, floor coverings and other household effects.
     He was a member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church at Rocky Ridge.  He also served on the church board for a number of years.
     He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Daisy I. Albaugh, one son, Charles W. Albaugh, York, Pa; one daughter, Mrs. Jeanette L. Henry, Mt. Wolfe, Pa.; two sisters, Mrs. Estella Shiffman, Dunkirk, NY and Mrs. Alice Ream, New Port News, Va.; and five grandchildren.
     Funeral services were held Sunday May 28, 1961 in Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church in charge of Rev. Donald Broke.  Interment was in the church cemetery.


Charles Milton Albaugh   -  hand dated 2/20/1946
     Charles Milton Albaugh, formerly of Frederick County, died at his home in Baltimore Wednesday morning.  Aged 63 years, he had been in ill health for some time.
     He was a son of the late Andrew and Miranda Albaugh of Davistown, and is survived by his wife Mrs. Dessie Strine Albaugh; three step-children and two sons by a former marriage,  Howard with the F.B.I. in North Carolina, and Donald, with the Merchant Marines and one sister, Mrs. Ida Wachter.
     Brief service will be held at the Cook Funeral Home in Baltimore, Friday morning at 9:00 o'clock, with funeral rites in Utica Lutheran Church at 11:00 o'clock.  Interment in the adjoining cemetery.
    


Mrs. Leslie O. Albaugh -   hand dated 3/22/1946
     Mrs. Cora Jane Albaugh wife of Leslie O. Albaugh of Clemsonville, near Union Bridge, died at the City Hospital Thursday at 2:50 a.m. after an extended illness.  She was a patient at the hospital four days.  Born in Frederick County September 26, 1881, the deceased was a daughter of the late May E. Hahn.   She was aged 64 years, 5 months and 25 days.  Besides her husband, she is survived by three children, Mrs. Harry Longnecker, South Bend, In.; Mrs. Clarence Fuss, New Oxford, Pa.; and Oscar, at home; 7 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
     Funeral services from the late home on Saturday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Orville L. Davis officiating.  Burial in Union Chapel Cemetery, near Liberty.  The body will remain at the funeral home of D.D. Hartzler and Sons until Friday evening where friends may call.  It will then be moved to the late home.

     Mrs. Cordelia G. Albaugh, wife of Nicholas Hoy Albaugh, formerly of New Market, died at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur A. Kolb, 7402 Arlington Rd., Bethesda, Thursday morning at 10:30 o'clock.
     She was a daughter of the late Noah and Louisa Linset Barnes of Frederick County and a member of the Bethesda Presbyterian Church and church school.
     Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Kolb, with whom she resided for twenty years; one son, Jasper Albaugh, this city, a sister and a brother, Miss Gertrude Barnes and L. Victor Barnes, both of Mount Airy.  Three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.

     Mrs. Edna Estella Albaugh, daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Nicodemus Koontz, died at 1:10 a.m. Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Blackstif, near New Windsor.  She had been ill about five months, and was aged 68 years at the time if her death.  Her husband, Charles F. Albaugh predeceased her  twelve years ago.  Her only surviving relatives are her daughter, Mrs. Blackstif and two grandchildren.  She was a life long member of the Linganore Methodist Church.
     Funeral services will be held Friday at the Blackstif residence at 10:30 o'clock with further services at the Linganore Methodist Church.   Rev. Royal Rice, her pastor, will officiate.  Interment will be made in the cemetery adjoining the church.


Mrs. Effie S. Albaugh  -   hand dated 11/17/1953
     Mrs. Effie Simpson Albaugh, widow of John H. Albaugh, died at her home, 225 East Second Street early on Friday, aged 91 years.
     She was a daughter of the late Basil J.F. and Laura J. Nusbaum Simpson, a devout member of the Grace Evangelical and Reformed Church and of the Faithful Circle Bible Class of the church school.  She was a charter member and one of the oldest members of the Ladies Auxilliary, Francis Scott Key Post No. 11 American Legion.  She was a charter member and past president of Salon 39, 8 and 40, and a past State Chapeaux.
     Surviving her are three sons, Horace C.H. Albaugh, Hobart B. Albaugh, and Irvin C. Albaugh, all of this city; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  She was the last of her immediate family.
     The body rests at the funeral home, 106 East Church Street, where friends may call after seven o'clock tis evening.  Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Monday morning at eleven o'clock.  Interment in Central Cemetery.   M.R.      Mrs. Effie J. Albaugh, wife of Howard M. Albaugh, of 917 Pontiac Avenue, Frederick, died at Harbor View Nursing Home in Baltimore Sunday morning.
     Born March 7, 1893, she was the daughter of the late Eugene A. and Mary Tracey Alexander of Middletown.
     She was a member of the Evangelical Reformed United Church of Christ of Frederick.  She was past councilor and past state councilor of Sons and Daughters of Liberty, past Pocahontas and past great Pocahontas of the Degree of Pocahontas, and a member of the Past Pocahontas League of Maryland and U.S.A.
     She was a member and past Worthy Matron of Frederick Chapter #79, Daughter of the Eastern Star, member of Samaritan Rebekah Lodge of Odd Fellows, member of Mt. City Temple #14 and the Pythian Sisters and member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Frederck Aerie No. 1067 Fraternal Order of Eagles.
     She is survived by her husband, Howard M. Albaugh, her son, Edwin D. Albaugh of Frederick; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

     Miss Ella Albaugh of Walkersville, died at Mercy Hospital, Baltimore, Tuesday evening at 7:40 o'clock after an illness of several months.  She had been admitted to the hospital 23 days prior to death which was caused by complications.
     She was born in the Middletown Valley, the daughter of the late A.A. and Agnes Joy Albaugh, living in Walkersville for the past 50 years, Miss Albaugh, had made many friends and was well known in the community.
     Among the survivors are one brother, Charles B. Albaugh, near Libertytown; one sisterm Miss Cora Albaugh, Harrisburg, Pa. and several nieces and nephews.
     Funeral Saturday afternoon at two o'clock from the funeral home in Walkersville.  Rev. John W. Fisher, pastor of the United Brethren Church, Walkersville, will be in charge of services.  Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery, Woodsboro.   G.C. Barton, funeral director.

     Mrs. Ella Brant Albaugh, widow of William J. Albaugh died at her home near New Windsor at 10:45 p.m. Thursday February 23, 1961, after a 3 day illness.  She was born in Ellicott City, a daughter of the late James and Emma Eden Brant.  Her husband died 18 years ago.  She was a member of the Presbyterian Church; a graduate of Maryland State Teachers College, she formerly taught in Frederick county schools.
     Surviving are a son Albert E. Albaugh, near New Windsor; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
     Funeral services were conducted at the New Windsor funeral home of D.D. Hartzler and Sons, Sunday at 2:00 p.m. by her pastor, the Rev. William O. Yates.  Burial was made in Fairmount Cemetery, Libertytown.


Mrs. Emma Lee Albaugh    -   hand dated 3/26/1950
     Mrs. Emma Lee Albaugh, widow of Charles T. Albaugh formerly of New Paris, near Liberty, died Saturday afternoon at one o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Stitley, the latter a granddaughter, near Woodsboro, after an illness of four months of complications, age 87 years, 3 months and 28 days.  She was born in Frederick County, a daughter of the late Franklin and Marie Jackson Stottlemyer and was a member of Utica Reformed Church.  The following children survive: Leslie O. Albaugh, Union Bridge, Jacob Albaugh, Savage; H. Keefer Albaugh, Henrytown; George W. Albaugh, Randellstown; Clarence U. Albaugh. New Midway; Mrs. Margaret Hilterbrick, Taneytown; Mrs. Elsie M. Potman, New Midway; Mrs. Myrtle Offelt, Ellicott City; Mrs. Edith A. Gruber, Rocky Ridge; Miss Bertha Albaugh, at home; 25 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.  Also survive are a brother, Clarence Stottlemyer of Utica, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Harper, Hansonville.
     The body is at the funeral home in Walkersville where friends may call and where services will be held Wednesday morning at 11:00 o'clock, followed by interment in Utica Cemetery.  G.C. Barton, funeral director.

AN INFANT    - hand dated 7/18/1952
     Ernest William Albaugh III, 3 day old son of Ernest William and Thelma Irene Albaugh, 9 Millside Apts., Water Street, died Monday night at 10 o'clock in Emergency Hospital.  Graveside service will be held in Mt. Olivet Cemetery this afternoon.  Robert E. Dailey, funeral director.


Mrs. Etta R. Albaugh  -   hand dated 7/16/1946
     Mrs. Etta Rosella Albaugh, twice married, widow of Isaac I. Albaugh and George M. Clabaugh, died suddenly Sunday morning about 1 o'clock, of a heart attack, aged 74 years, 3 months and 16 days, at her residence near Ladiesburg.   She was a daughter of the late John and Louisa Schwaber Birely.  Surviving are three children, Mrs. Aondo Leakins, Unin Bridge; Mrs. Florence **ienelberger, Frederick; Iva Ryder, McSherrystown, Pa.; Mrs. Ruth Groft(or Croft), Hanover, Pa.; Frank Clabaugh and Melvin Clabaugh both of Ladiesburg; Reese Clabaugh, Frederick.  Also surviving are 31 granchildren and 2 great-granchildren; a brother William Birely, Union Bridge and two sisters, Mrs. Amanda Otto, Keymar and Mrs. John Cox, Blatimore.  Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday morning ar 10 o'clock at the late residence.  Rev. R.O. Musser will officiate.  Interment in Haugh's Cemetery near Ladiesburg.  Powell and Hartzle, funeral directors.


Frank W. Albaugh    -  hand dated 9/29/1944
     Staff Sergt., Frank W. Albaugh, son of Mr. and Mrs. M.J. Albaugh of Thurmont, was killed in action in France on September 12, his parents have been advised by the War Department.  The father is cashier of the Woodsboro Savings Bank.
      A graduate of Thurmont High School and a student at the University of Maryland when he entered service in February 1943.  Sergt. Albaugh had been overseas since May, when he landed in England.  He had been in Frances since July.  He was 20 years old.
     His last letter to his parents written five days before his death, was captioned: "On the road to Berlin."  First in a cavalry reconnaisance outfit, Sergt. Albaugh was transferred to an infantry regiment before going overseas.  Posthumous Honor.


Frank Thomas Albaugh  -   hand dated 7/19/1938
     Frank Thomas Albaugh died at his home on West Main Street, Thurmont, at 7:30 o'clock Thursday night.  He was 84 years old.  Surviving are the following children: Morris J. Albaugh, Miss M. Helen Albaugh and Miss Catherin S. Albaugh, all of Thurmont.
     The funeral of Frank Thomas Albaugh was held at the late home in Thurmont at two o'clock Sunday afternoon.  Rev. Milton Crist, of the Methodist Episcopal Church in Thurmont, officiated.  Pall bearers were Charles Harbaugh, Samuel Bennett, Frank Weller, Morris Roatzer, Joseph Gernand and John Whitmore.   Burial was in the United Brethren Cemetery in Thurmont.  Willhide and Creeger, funeral directors


Frank B. Albaugh   -   hand dated 11/26/1948
     Frank Brown Albaugh of Detour died at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at Emergency Hospital of complications, aged 73 years and 8 months.  He was a son of the late Edward and Lucy Unkerfer Albaugh of Frederick county.  His wife, Mrs. Clara Fogle Albaugh, died 17 years ago.  He was a member of the Libertytown Methodist Church.  Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Mable Mort, Union Bridge; Mrs. Ida Fogle, York, Pa. and Mrs. Gladys Dayhoff, Detour; a son, Ernest Albaugh, Dover, Pa.; a brother, J.T. Sim Albaugh, Libertytown; six grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
     Services were held Monday afternoon with brief services at the residence at 1:30 o'clock with further rites near Libertytown Methodist Church.   Rev. R.S. Poffenberger and Rev. Donald E. Lewis officiated.  Interment in Fairmount Cemetery.  Powell and Hartzler, funeral directors.


Mr. George Albaugh  -   hand dated 1/11/1968
     Mr. George Albaugh, 79, a well known retired farmer of near Detour, died on Saturday.  He is survived by three sons and three daughters; Doran, Harry & William of Detour; Mrs. G.S.J. Fox of Detour; Mrs. Charles Fogle of Woodsboro and Mrs. Russell Dorsey of near Motter's Station.  Rev. W.O. Ibach conducted the services Tuesday.  Interment was in Rocky Ridge Lutheran Cemetery.


George E. Albaugh  -   hand dated 9/2/1938
     George E. Albaugh, retired farmer of near Woodsboro died at his home this morning at 10:15 o'clock.  Cause of death was general debility.   He was aged 84 years, 1 month and 24 days.
     The deceased was a son of the late David and Elizabeth Etzler Albaugh, of Frederick county.  Surviving are his wife who was before marriage, Miss Alice M. Beck; one son, Charles D. Albaugh, of Taneytown.  Formerly Pennsylvania Railroad agent in Frederick; two grandsons, Harmon and Thomas (?) of Taneytown.
     Funeral service will be held from the late home on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock.  Rev. M.H. Schmidt and Elder Charles Stover will officiate.  The body may be viewed at the late home this evening between seven and nine o'clock.  Please omit flowers.  Interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Woodsboro.   Powell and Albaugh, funeral directors.
