Morris Albaugh to William Albaugh 

 

This Indenture made this first day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty by and between Morris Albaugh Senior and Catharine his wife of the County of Harrison and State of Ohio of the first part & William Albaugh Junior of the County and State aforesaid of the other part   Witnesseth that the said Morris Albaugh Senior and Catharine his wife for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have bargained and sold and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, convey and confirm unto the said William Albaugh Junior his heirs or assigns all the following described Tract or parcel of Land and premises with the appurtenances situate lying and being in the County of Harrison and State of Ohio and is bounded as follows to wit ~~Beginning at the south east corner of Section eighteen To. No. twelve in Range five of the Lands directed to be sold at Steubenville it being part of the South East Quarter of Land Section No eighteen and running thence North sixty seven and three tenth perches thence West one hundred and sixty five perches thence South sixty and three tenths perches thence one hundred and sixty five perches to the place of beginning containing 68 acres and 10 perches and the other part beginning at the South West corner of Section No twelve in Range no. five in the District of Lands offered for sale at Steubenville and running thence East fifty four perches thence North thirty two degrees West sixty one and one half perches, thence North twenty two degrees West nineteen perches to the West boundary line of said Section No.  twelve? thence south fifty eight and two tenths perches to the place of beginning containing eleven acres and forty three perches.  To have and to hold the above described Tracts and parcels of Land and premises with the appurtenances to the said William Albaugh Junior his heirs or assigns to the only proper use of him the said William Albaugh Junior his heirs or assigns forever.  And the said Morris Albaugh Senior and Catharine his wife for themselves and their heirs, executors and Administrators doth hereby covenant and agree to and with the said William Albaugh Junior his heirs and assigns that he the said Morris Albaugh Senior and Catharine his wife the above described Tracts and parcel of Land and premises to the said William Albaugh Junior his heirs or assigns shall and will forever defend against all persons and claims whatsoever.  In Testimony whereof the said Morris Albaugh Senior & Catharine his wife hath hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written.

Kirkpatrick, a Justice of the Peace for Harrison County, State of Ohio Mauris Albaugh Senior and Catharine his wife and acknowledged the above Instrument of Writing to be their free and voluntary act and done for the purpose therein contained & the said Catharine being by me examined separate and apart from her said husband and said that she executed the above of her own free will without any coercion or compulsion from the said husband and moved the same to be recorded.  Given under my hand and seal this 10th day of June A.D. 1830
