Morris Albaugh to John Wert

 

Know all men by these presents that we Morris Albaugh and Elizabeth his wife, Solomon Albaugh and Priscilla his wife and William Albough and his wife Sarah, Zachariah Thompson and Pricilla his wife Solomon Stine and Margaret his wife of Carroll County and State of Ohio and George Albaugh of Logan County and State aforesaid of the first part and John Wert of Harrison County and state aforesaid of the other part.  Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of fourteen dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted, bargained and sold and do hereby grant bargain sell and convey unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever the following described lot of ground being in lot numbered forty three in the Town of New Rumley situated in Harrison County Ohio aforesaid being part of the South east quarter of section fourteen in the Township twelve of Range five of the lands divided to be sold at Steubenville.  To have and to hold said premises with all appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever and the said party of the first part do hereby covenant with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that they will forever warrant and defend the same with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever.  In Testimony whereof the said Morris Albaugh and his wife Elizabeth, Solomon Albaugh and his wife, William Albaugh and his Sarah, Zachariah Thompson and his wife Priscilla, Solomon Stine and his wife Margaret and George Albough have hereunto set their hands and seals this fifth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty nine executed in presence of Catharine **Springer, Priscilla Albaugh, Sally Allen.                                                                                                     Morris  X  Albough  (seal)

and his wife Sarah, Solomon Stine and his wife Margaret and                    Sarah X Albough  (seal)
and acknowledge the signing of the conveyance to be their                       Zachariah Thompson (seal)
voluntary act and they the said Elizabeth wife of Morris Albough                Pricilla X Thompson (seal)
and Pricilla wife of Solomon and Sarah wife of William Albough                  George Albough (seal)
and Margaret wife of Solomon Stine being by me examined                       Solomon Stine (seal)
separate and apart from their several husbands and declared the               Margaret Stine  (seal)
signed the same without any fear or coercion from their said
husbands.  Given under my hand and seal officially this 5th day of October A.D. 1839.  John Shober, J.P.

State of Ohio, Logan County SS    Personally appeared before me the undersigned and acting Justice of the Peace in and for said County aforesaid George Albough and acknowledged the signing and sealing the within deed as his voluntary act and deed given under my hand and seal this 11th day of October in the year 1839.                                                                                                             A.R. State of Ohio Carroll County  SS    Personally appeared before me Samuel Williams a Justice of the Peace in and for the county of Carroll.  Zachariah Thompson and Pricilla his wife and acknowledged the signing and sealing of the within deed as their voluntary act and deed and she the said Pricilla Thompson  being examined by me separate and apart from her said husband and declared that she signed the same without any fear or coercion from her said husband.  Given under my hand and seal officially this 20th day of November AD 1839.  State of Ohio Harrison County SS.  Entered for Record Nov 29th 1839 and
