Morris Albaugh to Solomon Albaugh
This Indenture made this seventeenth day of
March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty, Between
Morris Albaugh Junr and Elizabeth his wife of the County of Harrison and State
of Ohio of the
one part and Solomon Albaugh of the other part. Witnesseth that the said party
of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred and fifty
dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have
granted, bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell and
convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns
all the following described tract and parcel of land and premises with the
appurtenances thereunto belonging situate lying and being in the County of
Harrison and State of Ohio it being the North half of North East quarter of
Section seventeen in Township Twelve and Range five of the lands directed to be
sold at Steubenville. To have and to hold the said half quarter Section of land
and premises with the appurtenances hereunto belonging to the said party of he
second part his heirs or assigns forever and the said party of the first part
his heirs or assigns to the only proper use and behoof of him the said party of
the second part for themselves their heirs, executors or administrators doth
hereby covenant and agree to and with the said party of the second part his
heirs or assigns that they the said party of the first part the above described
half quarter portion of land and premises to the party of the second part his
heirs and assigns shall and will forever warrant and defend against all persons
and claims whatsoever. In Testimony whereof the said party of the first part
have hereunto set there hands and seals the day and date first above written.

Harrison County } SS. Before me Mauris Allbaugh, a Justice of the Peace in
and for the County of
(SEAL) Harrison came the above named Mauris Albaugh and
Elizabeth his wife and
acknowledged the above Instrument of Writing
to be their act and Deed for the purpose therein contained and the said
Elizabeth being by me examined separate and apart from said husband did declare
that she signed and as her act and Deed delivered the same without the coercion
or compulsion from her said husband. Witness my hand and seal this 17th
day of March 1830.
