Morris Albaugh to John Gutshall
Land Records, Jefferson OH This Indenture made this twentieth day of
February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirteen between
Morris Albaugh in the County of Jefferson and State of Ohio of the one part and
John Gutshall of the County of Jefferson and State of Ohio of the other part .
Witnesseth that the said Morris Albaugh for and in consideration of the sum of
three hundred and twenty dollars and three cents, to him in hand paid, the
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted bargained and sold and by
these presents do grant, bargain, sell, convey and confirm unto the said John
Gutshall his heirs or assigns, all the following described tract of land, with
the appurtenances situate , lying and being in the County of Jefferson, State of
Ohio on the waters of Muskingham River, and bounded as follows, to it the South
east quarter of Section number seventeen. In Township Number twelve. And Range
number five of the lands directed to be sold at Steubenville Whereas the
President of the United States of America did grant a Patent unto a certain
Morris Albaugh of Jefferson County and State of Ohio, for the full amount of the
half of Section number seventeen In Township number twelve, Range number Five
bearing at the City of Washington the first day of January in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and twelve and the independence of the United
States of America the thirty sixth. To have and to hold the above described
tract of land and premises with the appurtenances to the said John Gutshall his
heirs or assigns, to the only the only proper use and behoof of the said John
Gutshall his heirs or assigns forever. And the said Morris Albaugh for himself
and his heirs, executors and administrators doth hereby covenant and agree to
and with the said John Gutshall his heirs or assigns that he the said Morris
Albaugh will forever defend the above described tract of land and premises
forever, to the said John Gutshall his heirs or assigns, shall and will warrant
forever, defend against all persons and claims whatsoever. In testimony |
