This Indenture made this thirteenth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty four between Maurice Albaugh Senior and Catharine his wife of the County of Harrison and State of Ohio of the one part and George Albaugh of the County of Harrison and State of Ohio of the other part.  Witnesseth that the said Maurice Albaugh and Catharine his wife for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and twenty dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained and sold and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, convey and confirm and the said George Albaugh his heirs or assigns  all the following described lands and parcels of Land & premises with the appurtenances situate, lying and being in the County of Harrison and State of Ohio, and is bounded as follows, to wit.   Beginning at South east corner of Section eighteen in Township Number Twelve, in Range five of the Lands directed to be sold at Steubenville it being part of the South east quarter of said Section and running thence North Sixty seven and three tenths perches.  Thence West one hundred and sixty four perches.  Thence South sixty seven and three tenths perches.  Thence East one hundred and sixty four perches to the beginning, containing 68 acres and 149 perches.  And the other Tract beginning at the South West corner of Section Number twelve in Range Number five in the District of Lands offered for sale at Steubenville.  And running thence East fifty four perches, thence North thirty two Degrees West sixty one and one half perches.  Thence North seventy two degrees West nineteen perches to the west boundary line of said Section Number Twelve.  Thence South fifty eight and two tenth perches to the beginning containing 11 acres and forty three perches more or less.  To have and to hold the above described tracts and parcels of Land and premises with the appurtenances to the said George Albaugh his heirs or assigns to the only proper use and behoof of him the said George Albaugh his heirs or assigns forever.  And the said Maurice Albaugh and Catharine his wife for themselves and their heirs, Executors and Administrators, doth hereby covenant and agree to and with the said George Albaugh his heirs or assigns that they the said Maurice Albaugh and Catharine his wife the above described tracts and parcels of Land and premises to the said George Albaugh his heirs or assigns shall and will warrant and defend against all persons and claims whatsoever.  In Testimony whereof the aforesaid Maurice Albaugh Senior and Catharine his wife have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written.

Harrison County   } SS    Before me John Shober a Justice of the Peace in and for said County personally
came the above named Maurice Albaugh and Catharine his wife and acknowledged the above Instrument of Writing to be their act and deed for the purpose therein contained.  The said Catharine being by me examined separate and apart from her husband did declare that she signed and as her act and Deed delivered the same without any coercion or compulsion from her said husband.  Witnesseth my hand and seal the thirteenth day of August 1824.                              John Shober, Justice of the Peace
