Be it remembered that hereto for to
wit on the thirty first day of July Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and
thirty three, at a Court of Common Plea began and had at the German Lutheran Church - in
Carrollton in Carroll County Ohio before the Hon. Jeremiah H. Hallocke President and
George Davis, George Reynolds and Robert George Esquires associate Judges of said Court in
said County.
The last will and testament of Maurice Allbough
was brought in to Court, the two subscribing witnesses that are being qualified say that
they saw the Testator sign said Will, that they subscribed the same as witnesses in the
presence of the Testator - that the testator when he signed said Will was of sound mind
and memory of full age and not under - any restraint - where upon the same is
approved and ordered to be recorded with the proof taken - Which Will is in the words and
figures following to wit -
I, Maurice Allbough of Carroll County
and State of Ohio being weak in body but of sound mind and memory do make and publish this
to be my last Will and Testament in manner and form following, that is to say - First, It
is my will that my funeral expenses and all my just debts be fully paid -
Second - I give and devise and bequeath, to my
beloved wife Catherine Allbough, all the live stock cattle, sheep, by me now owned and
kept, also all the household furniture and other items not particularily named or
otherwise disposed of in this Will, during her natural life time, and after the death of
my said Wife, all the property hereby described or so much as may then remain ******, I
order to be equally divided between my four sons, George, Maurice, Solomon and William and
my Daughters Margaret & Priscilla and the children of my Daughter, Catharine deceased,
which last named children shall have one share, which shall be equally divided between
them -
Thirdly - I give and bequeath unto my son
George - Four hundred Dollars already paid to him by me and exclusive of that I order and
bequeath to him or his heirs, One hundred and Sixty dollars to be paid by my executors as
soon as collected -
Fourth - I give and bequeath unto my son
Solomon Four hundred dollars already paid by me to him
Fifth - I give and bequeath unto my son Maurice
four hundred dollars already paid by me to him
Sixth - I give and bequeath unto my son William
four hundred dollars already paid by me to him
Seventh - I give and bequeath unto my Daughter
Margaret One hundred and fifty dollars to be paid to her or her heirs by my executors as
soon as collected by them
Eighth - I give and bequeath unto the children
of my Daughter Catharine deceased One hundred and fifty dollars to be paid to them when
they are of age or to their guardians as soon as collected by my executors
Ninth - I give and bequeath unto my Daughter
Priscilla one hundred and fifty dollars already by me to her paid -
Tenth - I give and devise unto Catharine
McKipas one. - bed and bedding, one spining wheel, one Cow and fifteen dollars when she
arrives of age -
And lastly I hereby constitute and appoint my
son William Allbough and John Sholer sole excutors of this my last Will and Testament
hereby ratifying and confirming this and no others to be my last Will and Testament - In
testimony whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal this 17th day of March A.D. 1833 -

Signed Published and declared by the above named Maurice Allbough which for his last Will
and Testament in presence of and who at his request have signed as witnesses to the same.

Bond ordered to be taken in the sum of Three thousand two hundred Dollars -
Solomon Allbough and Maurice Allbough, are accepted as Security - Conrad Able - John
Shick & Peter Nolestine we appointed appraisers of property - Letter recorded in
