Be it remembered that heretofore towit, At a Court of Common Pleas before and
held at the Court House in Carrollton with and for said County of Carroll and State of
Ohio on Monday the 8th day of May, A.D. 1848.
On motion of Von Broun Esq. it is ordered that letters of
Administration he granted on the estate of John Peter Albaugh, dec'd, unto Conrad Slates
and William Albaugh Sr, and that they give bond according to law in the sum of $1400.00
with Peter Hosterman and William Albaugh their securities, who are accepted as such by the
Court, and the Court appoints William Campbell and John * Slates and Joseph Dayhuff to
appraise the personal property of the deceased.
Thereupon Letters of Administration issued unto the said Conrad
Slates and William Albaugh in the words and figures following to wit ~
The State of Ohio
Carroll Co. S.S.
To all to whom these presents shall come, gruti*y: ~ Know ye that
the Court of Common Pleas of said County, has hereby granted Letters of Administration
on the estate of John P. Albaugh dec'd unto Conrad Slates and Wm Albaugh to whom
is committed the Administration of all and being alas all the Goods and Chattels,
Moneys, Rights and credit of said deceased, and also the proceeds of all the Real Estate
of said Estate which they may be authorized to sell,and whole duty it shall be to
Administer the same, and to adjust and settle up the account of the said deceased in all
which apecable[sic] to law. In testimony whereof the seal of said Court
is hereto affixed. Witness my signature at Carrollton, in said county this 8th day
of May A.D. 1848.
