Pg 73  Dr. Andrew P. Albough succeeded Doctor Shultz at Kilgore; he was a graduate of Miami Medical College in 1887 and settled at Kilgore; after years he moved to Tarpon Springs, Florida.  He was born in Loudon Twp. this county.

Pg 74  Dr. H. A. Harding, also a native of Loudon Twp., this county, followed Doctor Albough at Kilgore; practiced there until about 1912; is now at Amsterdam, Ohio; his father lives near Kilgore.  Dr. Harding was a graduate of Sterling Medical College in 1898.

Pg 112  Carroll Chapter Order of Eastern Star -  The elective officers installed for the ensuing year are: Iona Albaugh, worthy matron; James I, Lore, worthy patron; Elizabeth Jones, associate matron; Mrs. Cree B. Poole, secretary; Mollie Heniger, associate conductress.  These officers were duly installed  December 16, 1920 for the activities of 1921.

Pg 114  Knights of Pythias Lodge - Orange Lodge No. 193 Kni P. at the Village of Sherrodsville was instituted January 9, 1885, by way of sleighs on a very cold night.  The work was executed by Christ Meese.  The list of charter members is as follows:  J. A. Albaugh, I. P. Albaugh, David Baird, L. M. Beatty, Z. W. Baldwin, Wm. Badger, Thomas Colbridge, H. D. Dunlap, Thomas Daniels, Stephens Jones, Morgan Jones, Evan Lewis, David Lewis, T. H. Love, John Ebden, W.R. Lewis, C.C. Lloyd, Adam Munn, Allen Pearch, Luther Pearch, J.S. Poulton, Peter Rowley, A.C. Rainsbarger, Robert Robinson, Walter Williams, C.C. Wears.  Of this long list, the records show in the fall of 1920 that only 5 still survive of the original members.

Furniture - J.C. Butler, John Arbaugh, both are undertakers also.

Pg 185  Lee Twp. Settlement - John Jackman settled on Elk Horn Creek in the township in 1802 and was followed by Peter Albaugh in 1805.
     Elkhorn Creek derived its name from Reynolds, proprietor of a mill and a log tavern at the road-side near the creek, as he had for a sign the antlers of an elk, each measuring over 6' in length.  On account of this circumstance the place was known as "Elk Horn Tavern" and later the township was likewise named.  William Albaugh used to relate how the wolves used to be very numerous and that very early he received $12.00 bounty for killing six of these animals in Lee Township.

Pg 186  The first Justice of the Peace in Lee Township was Joseph Wolff and about the same date the other Justice was John Albaugh.

Pg 189  Loudon Township - Village of Kilgore  - A business directory of 1883-4 gives this on Kilgore:  Albaugh Brothers, stone-masons; J.D. Albaugh, pianos & organs; Wm Albaugh, saw mill; James Campbell, agricultural implements; S. M. Gottschall, blacksmith; Simmons & Son, furniture dealer; John H. Smith, hotel; Spence, Tinlin & Co., general merchandise; with a few other dealers.

Pg 277  Levi Arbaugh - officer at Home Savings Building & Loan Association - At Village of Scio the above named financial concern was organized March 23, 1893 with a $100,00 capital.  It is still doing business....

Pg 360  United Brethren Church of Bowerston -
Charter Members   -   James Albaugh
- church organized about 1860.  The first building used was a Baptist Church moved from Hagerstown to Bowerston by Jacob Norick who in reality was the founder of the church at this location.
