H.W. Albaugh to Edward Burnett

Know all men by these presents, that we Harrison W. Albaugh and his wife Lucretia Albaugh of the County of Jefferson and State of Ohio in consideration of the sum of Two hundred dollars in hand paid by Edward Burnett of the same place, have bargained and sold and do hereby grant and convey unto the said Edward Burnett, his heirs and assigns forever.  The following described Lot of ground situate in the Town of Bloomfield Jefferson County Ohio and described as follows the same being Lots of ground in said Town of Bloomfield Numbered  on the plat of said town Nos. (58) Fifty Eight, (59) fifty nine and (60) Sixty which will more fully appear on an examination of the plat of said town recorded at the Recorders office at Steubenville Ohio.  To have and to hold said premises with the appurtenances unto the said Edward Burnett his heirs and assigns forever.  And the said Harrison W. Albaugh for himself and heirs doth hereby covenant with the said Edward Burnett his heirs and assigns that he is lawfully seized of the premises aforesaid, that the premises are free and clear from all incumbrances whatsoever, and that he will forever warrant and defend the same, with the appurtenances unto the said Edward Burnett his heirs and assigns against the lawful claim of all persons whomsoever.  In Testimony whereof the said Harrison W. Albaugh & Lucretia Albaugh have hereunto set their hands and seals the 23rd day of May A.D. 1863.

                                     State of Ohio, Jefferson County SS.
Before me, Jno H. Forester a Justice of the Peace in and for said County personally appeared the within named Harrison W. Albaugh and his wife Lucretia Albaugh and acknowledged the signing and sealing of the within conveyance to be their voluntary act and deed.  And the said Lucretia Albaugh being at the same time examined by me separate and apart from her said husband and the contents of said instrument made known to her by me, she then declared that she did voluntarily sign seal and acknowledge the same and that she is still satisfied therewith this 23rd day of May A.D. 1863.
