George Albaugh to Morris Albaugh

 

This Indenture made this twelfth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty six between George Albaugh of the County of Harrison and State of Ohio of the one part and Morris Albaugh senior of the County & State aforesaid of the other part.  Witnesseth that the said George Albaugh for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred Dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have bargained & sold & by these presents do grant, bargain , sell convey & confirm unto the said Morris Albaugh his heirs or assigns all the following described tracts and parcels of Lands & premises with the appurtenances situate, lying & being in the County of Harrison & State of Ohio and is bonded as follows, to wit:  Beginning at the South east corner of section eighteen in Township Number Twelve, on Range five of the Lands directed to be sold at Steubenville it being part of the south east quarter of said Section, and running Thence North sixty seven & three tenths perches, Thence West one hundred and sixty four perches, Thence South sixty and three tenths perches, Thence East one hundred and sixty four perches to the place of beginning containing 68 acres and 149 perches.  And the other tract Beginning at the South West corner of Section Number twelve, in Range Number five in the district of Land offered for sale at Steubenville and running Thence East fifty four perches.  Thence North thirty two degrees West sixty one and one half perches.  Thence North seventy two degrees West nineteen perches to the West Boundary line of said Section Number Twelve.  Thence South fifty eight and two tenths perches to the place of Beginning containing 11 acres and forty three perches.  To have and to hold, the above described Tracts and parcels of land and premises with the appurtenances to the said Morris Allbaugh his heirs or assigns to the only proper use and behoof of him the said Morris Allbaugh his heirs and assigns forever.  And the said George Albaugh, for himself and his heirs executors and Administrators doth hereby covenant and agree to and with the said Morris Allbaugh his heirs or assigns, that he the said George Allbaugh the above described tracts and parcels of Land and premises to the said Morris Allbaugh his heirs or assigns shall and will forever defend against all persons, and claims whatsoever.  In Testimony whereof, the aforesaid George Allbaugh hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first above written.
