George Alabaugh, dec'd                            Will Probate

The State of Ohio, Coshocton County
        Court of Common Pleas,  October Term, to wit. on the seventeenth day of October A.D. 1842 ---

        Be it remembered that now to wit. on the day and year aforesaid the last will and testament of George Alabaugh late of Coshocton County dec'd was this day produced in writing, and John Gardner and Henry Everhart credible witnesses thereunto being in open Court duly sworn and severally examined, and whom testimony was taken in writing, and signed deed duly filed.  And it appearing to the Court from the above testimony of said witnesses that the said last will and testament was duly executed, that the testator at the time of executing the same, was of full age of sound mind and memory and under any restraint:  It is by the Court ordered that said Last Will and Testament, together with the proof thereof be recorded by the Clerk of this Court, which said last will and testament reads in the words and figures following, to wit..

In the of God Amen -
  I George Alabaugh of the County of Coshocton and State of Ohio being sick and weak in body, but of sound mind and memory considering  the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof, do make this my last will and testament in manner following that is to say...
    1st   My Will is that the expenses of my last sickness and funeral be first paid.
    2nd  My will is that the home place and all my personal property belonging to me to be my presant wifes till death
    3rd   My will is that Mariah Dyal shall have the use of the thirty acres where she now lives during her natural life together with the home Place after my wifes death
    4th   My will is that after the death of boath of the above named persons that George Dyal, son of John & Mariah to have one hundred dollars over & above the rest of their heirs then the ballance of the property to be equal divided amongst the said heirs of John & Mariah Dial.
    5th   My will is that George Dyal, son of John & Mariah to have his choice of the two mares with saddle & Bridle at my death
    6th   Lastly, I do hereby constitute and appoint Thomas M. Pinkerton of the County of Coshocton and State of Ohio to be the
            Executor of this my last will and testament revoking and annuling all former wills by me made.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 27th day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty two.                     his

Signed, sealed, published and declared by George Alabaugh the above named testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence have subscribed our names as witnesses thereunto

And that Letters testimentary, with a copy of the said will annexed, be issued to Thomas M. Pinkerton the executor named therein, whereupon said Thomas M. Pinkerton appeared in open Court and accepted said appointment.  Thereupon it was by the Court ordered that he give bond in the sum of four hundred dollars, conditioned as the law directs, John Hammond & Samuel Winkliplick are accepted as securities...  John Gardner, Henry Everhart & William Doak are appointed to appraise the property of said estate...
