E. Fowler to Morris Albaugh
Know all men by these presents, That we
William E. Fowler and Ann Fowler wife of William E. Fowler of the county of
Harrison and State of Ohio in consideration of the sum of Seventy seven hundred
dollars in hand paid by Morris Albaugh of the County of Harrison and State of
Ohio the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do hereby Grant Bargain Sell and
Convey to the said Morris Albaugh his heirs and Assigns forever the following
Real Estate situated in the County of Harrison in the State of Ohio, and in
Steubenville Land District and bounded and described as follows, All that tract
or parcel of land, Being the west half of the South West quarters of Section No
Eighteen (18) of township Twelve (12) of range Six (6) containing Seventy Five
acres more or less. Also the west half of the North West Quarter of Section
Seventeen (17) in Township Twelve (12) of Range Six (6) in the District of land
as aforesaid for sale at Steubenville Ohio containing eighty acres more or less
in all one hundred and fifty five acres more or less.
To have and to hold said premises with all privileges and
appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said Morris Albaugh his heirs and
assigns forever, And the said William E. Fowler for himself and his heirs do
hereby covenant with the said Morris Albaugh his heirs and assigns, that they
are lawfully seized of the premises aforesaid that the said premises are Free
and Clear from all encumbrances whatsoever and that they will forever Warrant
and Defend the same with the appurtenances unto the said Morris Albaugh his
heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever.
In witness whereof the said William E. Fowler and Ann Fowler his
wife who hereby release all right of Dower in the premises have hereunto set
their hands and seals this third day of September in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and seventy four.

Be it remembered That on this third day of September A.D. 1874 before me the
subscriber a Justice of the Peace in and for said County personally came the
above named William E. Fowler and Ann Fowler his wife, the Grantor in the
foregoing Deed, and acknowledged the signing and sealing of the same to be their
voluntary act and deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned. And the
said Anne Fowler wife of the said William E. Fowler being at the same time
examined by me separate and apart from her said husband and the contents of said
Instrument being by me made known and explained to her then declared that she
did voluntarily sign seal and acknowledge the same and that she is still
satisfied therewith as her voluntary act and deed for the uses and purposes
therein mentioned.
In Testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name on the day
and year last aforesaid.
