William L Dixon to Basil Allbaugh 

Know all men by these presents that we William L. Dixon and Mary E. Dixon wife of said William L. Dixon of the County of Jefferson and State of Ohio in consideration of the sum of Fifteen hundred Dollars to us paid by Basil Allbaugh of the County of Harrison and State of Ohio the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and do hereby Grant, Bargain Sell and convey to the said Basil Allbaugh his heirs and assigns forever the following Real Estate situate in the County of Harrison in the State of Ohio and in the Town of New Market and bounded and described as follows viz.     The same being part of Lot number Thirteen (13) in the Town of New Market Beginning for the same at a point where the North line of an alley between said part of Lot Number thirteen (13) and Lot owned by William S*uary intersect the west line of Main Street Thence Northward with said line of Main Street (60) feet Thence westward on a line parallel to said Alley One hundred and thirty two feet (132) thence South ward parallel to Main Street sixty feet thence Eastward along said North line of said Alley one hundred and thirty two (132) to the place of beginning and containing 29.09 perches.
                To have and to hold said premises with all the privileges and appurtenances  thereunto belonging to the said Basil Allbaugh his heirs and assigns forever.  And the said William L. Dixon for himself and heirs do hereby covenant with the said Basil Allbaugh his heirs and assigns that he is lawfully seized of the premises aforesaid.  That the said premises are free and clear from all incumbrances whatsoever and that he will forever warrant and defend the same, with the appurtenances unto the said Basil Allbaugh his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whomever.
                In witness whereof the said William L. Dixon and Mary E. Dixon his wife who freely relinquish
all her right of Dower in the premises  have hereunto set their hand and seal this 26th day of September in
the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy.

Be it remembered that on this 26th day of September A.D. 1870, Before me the Subscriber, a Justice of the Peace in and for said County personally came the above named William L. Dixon and Mary E, Dixon the executor in the foregoing Deed and acknowledged the signing and sealing of the same to be their voluntary act and deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned.  And the said Mary E. Dixon wife of the said William L. Dixon being examined by me separate and apart from her said husband and the contents of said Instrument being by me made known and explained to her, she then declared that she did voluntarily sign seal and acknowledge the same and that she is still satisfied therewith as her voluntary act and deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned.
                In Testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal on the day and year last aforesaid.

I hereby certify that the Deed of which the foregoing is a copy of had adhesive stamps attached to the value of One Dollar & fifty cents which were duly cancelled according to law.  I further certify that said Deed was entered
for record December 18th 1871 and Recorded January 17th 1872.
