Deed                    John R. Deal     To Morris Allbaugh

Know all men by these presents, that I John R. Deals of the County of Harrison and State of Ohio for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars in hand paid by Morris Allbaugh of the same place have bargained and sold, and do hereby grant and convey unto the same Morris Allbaugh his heirs and assigns forever, the following premises situate in the County of Harrison and State of Ohio and in the Steubenville Land District and being part of Section No. twenty seven (27) Township thirteen (13) and Range six (6) and lying and being in the Town of Bowersville and described upon the Town plat by Lot No. ten (10) of said Town containing thirty two (32) perches in all.

To have and to hold said premises, with the appurtenances, unto the said Morris Allbaugh his heirs and assigns forever.  And the said John R. Deal for himself and heirs doth hereby covenant with said Morris Allbaugh his heirs and assigns that he is lawfully seized of the premises aforesaid that the premises are free and clear from all incumbrances whatsoever and that he will forever warrant and defend the same with the appurtenances unto the said Morris Allbaugh his heirs and assigns, against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever.  In Testimony whereof the said John R. Deal hath hereunto set his hand and seal this eighth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty four.

The State of Ohio, Harrison County SS.
Be it remembered that before me John C. Plowman a Justice of the Peace in and for said County personally appeared the within named John R. Deal and acknowledged the signing and sealing of the within conveyance to be his voluntary act and deed and that he is still satisfied therewith this 8th day of June A.D. 1864.

I hereby certify that the Deed of which the above is a copy had adhesive stamps attached to the same of the value of _____cents which were cancelled according to law.  I further certify that said Deed was entered for Record Oct 12th 1864 and recorded Oct 15th A.D. 1864.
