David Albaugh to William Albaugh

Know all men by these presents that we David
Albaugh and Elizabeth Albaugh wife of said David Albaugh of the County of
Jefferson Ohio in consideration of the sum of twenty six hundred dollars in hand
paid by William Albaugh of the same place, have bargained and sold and do hereby
grant and convey unto the said William Albaugh his heirs and assigns forever,
the following premises situate in the County of Jefferson & State of Ohio and in
the Steubenville Land District and bounded and described as follows: The west
half of the South east quarter of Section twenty five (25) of Township Ten (10)
of Range three (3) in said district containing Eighty acres more or less. To
have and to hold said premises with the appurtenances unto the said William
Albaugh his heirs and assigns forever. And the said David Albaugh for himself
and his heirs doth hereby covenant with said William Albaugh, his heirs and
assigns that he is lawfully seized of the premises aforesaid that the premises
are free and clear from all incumbrances whatsoever, and that he will forever
warrant and defend the same unto the said William Albaugh, his heirs and assigns
against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever. In Testimony whereof the
said David Albaugh and Elizabeth have hereunto set their hands and seals this
Seventh day of August A.D. one thousand eight hundred and sixty three. The State of Ohio, Jefferson County SS. Before me John Grieber a Notary Public in
and for said County personally appeared the within named David Albaugh and
Elizabeth Albaugh his wife, and acknowledged the signing and sealing thereof to
be their voluntary act and deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned, and
the said Elizabeth Albaugh wife of the said David Albaugh being examined by me
separate and apart from her said husband and the contents of said deed being by
me made known and explained to her as the Statue directs, declared that she did
voluntarily sign, seal, and acknowledge the same and that she is still satisfied
therewith as her act and deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned. In
Testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my Notarial
seal on this 4th day of August A.D. 1863 the time of the
acknowledgement of the within deed of
conveyance.
