Know all men by these presents that we David Albaugh and Elizabeth Jane Albaugh wife of said David Albaugh in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars in hand paid by Rachel Jane Able of Harrison County, State of Ohio do hereby remise, release, and forever quit claim, unto the said Rachel Jane Able her heirs and assigns forever, all our title, interest and estate, legal and equitable, in the following premises, with the appurtenances, situate in Harrison County, State of Ohio, Being a part of the North west quarter of Section eighteen, of Township Eleven, in Range five of the lands directed to be sold at Steubenville, bounded and described as follows, Beginning at a post on the North boundary line of the section, corner to George Kail, thence North eighty nine and one half degrees, East seventy four and four tenths perches to a post a White Oak bears South sixteen degrees thirty links, thence South one half degree East one hundred and seven and seven tenths perches to a post, corner to lands formerly owned by Anthony Sells, thence South seventy seven degrees West twenty eight perches to a post, thence North seventy three degrees West fifteen perches to a post near the head of a Spring, thence South fourteen degrees West eight perches and three links to a post, thence South Seventy seven degrees West twenty fourteen perches to a post, thence South eighty four degrees West fifty four perches and four links to a post at the edge of one leg creek corner to lands formerly owned by George Kail, thence down said creek with its meanderings North six degrees, West eleven perches thence North eighteen degrees west six perches, thence North sixteen degrees West ten perches, thence North fifty degrees West three perches and six links, thence North six degrees West twelve perches, thence North twenty nine degrees, West twelve perches, thence leaving the Creek North thirty five degrees East to the place of beginning containing Seventy six (76) acres, three (3) Roods and thirty (30) perches, Except so much and such part of said tract of Land as lies within the following bounds to wit,  Beginning at the North East corner of said tract in Huey’s lane, thence West thirty nine and two tenths perches, thence South six and one half degrees East fifty three perches, thence East thirty five and fourteenths perches, thence north fifty three perches to the place of beginning containing twelve acres and fifty perches.   In Testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this twenty fourth day of March A.D. one thousand eight hundred and fifty eight.

The State of Ohio, Jefferson County SS.
Before me William Vantz. a Justice of the peace in and for said County personally appeared the within named David Albaugh and Elizabeth Jane his wife, and acknowledged the signing and sealing of the within quit claim Deed to be their voluntary act and deed, And the said Elizabeth Jane being at the same time examined by me, separate and apart from her said husband, and the contents of said instrument made known to her by me, she then declared that she did voluntarily sign, seal and acknowledge the same and that she is still satisfied therewith, this 26th day of March A.D. 1858.
