Exd deld Granted     }                           At the request of William Fout the following Bill of Sale is recorded
5th December 1811   }                           5th may 1810, to wit ~~

Know all men by these presents, that I Christian Albaugh of Frederick County and State of Maryland, for and in Consideration of the sum of one hundred twenty one pound eighteen shilling & six pence current money, to me in hand paid by William Fout, of the County and State aforesaid; at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof, I the said Christian Albaugh do hereby acknowledge, have granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell unto the said William Fout, his executors, administrators and assigns, one black gelding four years old with a star on his forehead, one black gelding three years old, one sorrel gelding bald face about fourteen years old, one steed colt two year old, bald face; one wagon nearly new, three sets of geers for wagon, one young milk cow black & white spotted, one yearling heifer, red & white spotted, one blue cupboard, one walnut set of drawers, two feather beds & bed steads with necessary furniture thereto, and now all in my possession, To have and to hold the said property to the said William Fout his executors administrators and assigns for ever; and I the said Christian Albaugh for myself, my Heirs Executors and Administrators, the aforesaid property, to the said William Fout, his Executors administrators and assigns against me the said Christian Albaugh, my executors and administrators, and against all and every person or persons whomsoever, shall & will warrant and forever defend, by these presents, provided Never the less that in case I the said Christian Albaugh, shall pay and satisfy to the said William Fout, or to his Executors administrators and assigns the sum of forty six pound Eighteen shillings and six pence, current money, with Interest for the same, on or before the first day of November next, and seventy five pound current money to be paid on or before the first day of April 1811, then this Bill of Sale and every matter and thing therein, expressed shall be void and of none effect, it being the true intent and meaning thereof that the said property is Mortgaged by me the said Christian Albaugh, to secure to the said William Fout, the payment of the money aforesaid,  In witness whereof I the said Christian Albaugh, have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the first day of May one thousand eight hundred and ten 1810.
