In the name of God,
I, Catharine Ann Hahn, widow of the late Elias Hahn, of Frederick County in the State of
Maryland being sick and weak in body but of sound and disposing mind, memory and
understanding considering the uncertainty of death and the uncertainty of time thereof
and being desirous to settle my Worldly affairs and thereby be the better prepared to
leave this world when it shall please God to call me hence do therefore make and publish
this my Last Will and testament in manner and form following that is to say~~ First and
principally I commit my Soul into the hands of Almighty God and my body to the earth, to
be decently buried at the discretion of my Executor hereinafter mentioned, and after my
debts and funeral charges are paid. I devise and bequeath as follows~~~~~~~
Item First ~~ I give and bequeath to my sister Mary An Keefer one Coverlet, and one quilt,
to be selected by herself, one set of plates and my large Rocking Chair, and also the sum
of ten dollars~~
Item Second ~~ I give and bequeath to Mary Weddler the sum of ten dollars~~
Item Third ~~ I will and bequeath all the real and residue of my property to my son
Washington Agustus Hahn except the sum of twenty five dollars mention in the next item my
Executor to sell the same except keep as he may for my son at his discretion~~
And Lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my brother Isaac Albaugh to be my sole
Executor of this my Last Will and testament and I also give him twenty five dollars over
and above his commission allowed by the court for settlement of my Estate and I also
desire that my Executor shall become the guardian of my son Washington Agustus Hahn and
abate, carry out and execute the desire and intentions of my husband Elias Hahns' will,
revoking and annulling all former Wills by me heretofore made, ratifying and confirming
this and none other to be my Last Will and testament~~~~~~~~
In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this sixteenth day of
March in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and fifty four~~~~~~

On this 12th day of June 1854 came Isaac A. Albaugh and made oath on the holy Evangely of
Almighty God that the foregoing instrument of writing is the true whole Will of Catharine
Ann Hahn, late of Frederick County, deceased, that came to his hands and possession and he
does not know of any other~~~~~~

On the 12th day of June 1854 came James Todd & Henry I Favorite two of the subscribing
witnesses to the foregoing Last Will and testament of Catharine Ann Hahn, late of
Frederick County, Decd, and made oath on the holy Evangely of Almighty God, that they did
see the testatrix therein named sign and seal this will that they herd her publish,
pronounce and declare the same to be her Last Will and testament that at the time of her
signing she was to the best of their apprehensions of sound and disposing mind memory and
understanding and they respectively subscribed their names as witnesses thereto and they
also did see Ephraim Carmack the other subscribing witness sign his name as witness to
said Will at the request of the testatrix in her presence and all in the presence of each
other~~~~~~
