DEED
Bazil Allbaugh & wife To Daniel F. Heaston
Know all men by these presents that we Bazel
Allbaugh & Nancy Allbaugh his wife of the county of Harrison & State of Ohio,
for and in consideration of the sum of Thirty Three Hundred Dollars to us in
hand paid by Daniel Heaston of the same place the reception of which is hereby
acknowledged do give grant bargain sell and convey unto said Daniel F. Heaston
his heirs and assigns the following described premises to him. All that tract
of Land situated in the County of Harrison, State of Ohio and being the west
half of the South west quarter of Section Thirteen (13) in Tp Thirteen (13) of
Range (6) six of the Lands directed to be sold at Steubenville Ohio containing
seventy eight acres & ninety eight hundredths of an acre more or less, save and
excepting twenty acres more or less sold to Morris Allbaugh off said Tract &
described as follows beginning for the same at the North west corner of said
South west quarter thence South 1º West 41.18 perches thence South 89º West 78.5
perches thence North 1º East, 41.18 perches to the North east corner of said
half quarter, thence west along the north line of said section to the place of
beginning.
To have and to hold unto the said Daniel F. Heaston his heirs &
assigns forever with all the appurtenances hereunto belonging and the said Bazil
Allbaugh & Nancy his wife do for themselves their heirs & executors or
administrators covenant that they are the true owners of the same & that they
will forever warrant and defend the same against the lawful claims of all
persons whomsoever.
In Testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seal the
first day of November A.D. 1869.

Before me Samuel G. Smith a Justice of the Peace in and for said County
personally appeared the within named Basel Allbaugh & Nancy his wife and
acknowledged the signing and sealing of the within Deed of Conveyance to be
their voluntary act and deed. And Nancy Allbaugh his wife being examined by me,
separate and apart from her said husband and the contents of said Conveyance
being made – to her she did declare that she well & truly signed & sealed the
same & that she is still satisfied herewith this first day of November A.D.
1869.

I hereby certify that the Deed of which the foregoing is a copy of had an
adhesive stamp attached to the value of Fifty cents which was duly cancelled
according to law. I further certify that said Deed was entered for record May 3rd
1870 and Recorded June 9th 1870.
