Basil Allbaugh to Margaret Mogadagen
Know all men by these presents, that we Basel Allbaugh & Nancy
his wife of Harrison Co., State of Ohio, in consideration of the sum of Two
hundred & seventy Dollars in hand paid by Margaret Magadegan of the same place,
have bargained and sold & do hereby bargain, sell & convey unto the said
Margaret Magadagan her heirs & assigns forever the following premises situate in
the town of New Market, Harrison Co., Ohio & in the Steubenville Land District
being part of in Lot No. (13) thirteen, beginning at the South East corner of
said Lot then running Main Street (62) Sixty two feet, thence at right angles
with Main Street South west one hundred & thirty two (132) thence sixty two feet
(62) parallel with said Main Street, thence one hundred and thirty two feet
(132) to the place of beginning.
To have and to hold said premises with the
appurtenances unto the said Margaret Magadagan her heirs & assigns forever. And
the said Basel Allbaugh & Nancy his wife, for themselves & their heirs do hereby
covenant & agree with said Margaret Magadagan and her heirs & assigns, that they
are lawfully seized of said premises, and that the premises are free & clear
from all incumbrances whatsoever, and that they will warrant & defend the same
from the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever. In Testimony whereof the said
Basel Allbaugh & Nancy his wife have hereunto set their hands & seals this 26
day of Aug 1865.

Before me S.G. Smith, a Justice of the Peace in & for said County personally
appeared the within named Basel Allbaugh & Nancy his wife & acknowledged the
signing & sealing of the within the within Deed of Conveyance to be their
voluntary act & deed. And the said Nancy Allbaugh being at the same time
examined by me separate & apart from her said husband & the contents of said
Deed being made known to her by me, she then & there declared that she did
voluntarily sign & seal said Deed & that she is still satisfied therewith this
26th day of Aug. 1865

The State of Ohio, Harrison County, SS.
I hereby certify that the Deed of which the above is a copy had an adhesive
stamp attached to the same of the value of Fifty cents which was duly cancelled
according to law. I further certify that said Deed was entered for Record
September 16th 1865 and Recorded September 20th A.D.
1865.
