Certificate of Oath, Abraham Albaugh
                                                                At the request of Abraham Albaugh the following certificate                                                                 was recorded the 13th day of December 1797, to wit ~~

Abraham Albaugh personally appeared before me this day to whom is Deputy Sheriff of Frederick County.  I administered the following oath, to wit ~~

You Abraham Albaugh do swear that you will not for lucre or malice delay any person or persons applying to you for any business belonging to the office you officiate in and that you will not directly or indirectly ask take exact demand or reward whatsoever for any such person or persons to your own use any for or reward whatsoever of any service you shall do as Deputy Clerk of the said office and also that in making out of the office fees you will not willingly or willingly charge other or higher fees than limited by the act or titled an act for the regulation of “officer fees” so help you God _

At the same time the said Abraham Albaugh qualified himself as deputy Sheriff aforesaid by taking all other oaths required to be taken of him as Deputy Sheriff by the constitution and law of the State and the United States repealing and subscribing the same and a declaration of his belief in the Christian religion -   20th November 1797                                                           Before me Jacob Young
