DEED
William Albaugh to C. P. Dewey
Know all men by these
presents that William Albaugh and Sarah Albaugh his wife of the County of
Harrison and State of Ohio in consideration of the sum of Three thousand six
hundred dollars to us paid by C. P. Dewey of the County and State aforesaid: the
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby Grant Bargain Sell and Convey
to the said C. P. Dewey his heirs and assigns forever the following Real Estate
situated in the County of Harrison in the State of Ohio, and in the Steubenville
Land District, and bounded and described as follows: Being known as fifty acres
of land bequeathed to William Houser by Elizabeth Bartow, off of the Southwest
quarter of section Seven 7 Township thirteen 13 of range six (6). Also twenty
acres off the same quarter section beginning for the same at the North west
corner of said fifty acres; thence North twenty rods; thence East one hundred
and sixty rods; thence South twenty rods thence west one hundred and sixty rods
to the place of beginning. Also ten acres off the west half of the South east
quarter of said section beginning for the same at the south west corner of said
half quarter; thence north seventy rods; Thence east twenty two and eight tenths
rods 22.8 thence south seventy rods thence west twenty two and eight tenths 22.8
rods to the place of beginning containing eighty acres of land 80 more or less.
To have and to hold said premises with all the privileges and
appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said C. P. Dewey his heirs and assigns
forever. And the said William Albaugh and Sarah his wife for themselves and
their heirs do hereby covenant with the said C. P. Dewey and his heirs and
assigns, against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever.
In witness whereof the said William Albaugh and Sarah Albaugh
his wife have hereunto set their hands and seals this 9th day of May
A.D. 1877.

Be it remembered that on this 9th day of May A.D. 1877 before me the
subscriber a Justice of the Peace in and for said County personally came the
above named William Albaugh and Sarah Albaugh his wife and acknowledged the
signing and sealing of the above Deed to be their voluntary act and deed for
the uses and purposes therein mentioned. And the said Sarah Albaugh wife of
said William Albaugh being at the same time examined by me separate and apart
from her husband and the contents of said instrument being by me made known to
her She then declares that she did voluntarily sign seal and acknowledge the
same and that she is still satisfied therewith this 9th day of May
A.D. 1877.
