D.F. Heaston to Morris Allbaugh
Know all men by these presents That we Daniel F. Heaston and Elizabeth Heaston
his wife, Joseph Overholtz and Catharine his wife of the County of Harrison and
State of Ohio In consideration of the sum of Fifteen hundred Dollars to us in
hand paid by Morris Albaugh of Harrison County, Ohio the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged do hereby grant bargain sell and convey to the said Morris
Allbaugh heirs and assigns forever the following Real Estate situated in the
County of Harrison in the State of Ohio and in the Steubenville land district
and bounded and described as follows, And being the South half of the west half
of the South east Quarter of Section Nineteen (19) in Township Thirteen (13) of
Range Six (6) containing Thirty nine acres and Eighty hundredths of an acre more
or less.
To have and to hold said premises with all the privileges and
appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said Morris Allbaugh heirs and assigns
forever. And the said Daniel Heaston and Elizabeth his wife and Joseph
Overholtz and Catharine his wife for themselves and their heirs do hereby
covenant with said Morris Albaugh his heirs and assigns that they lawfully
seized of the premises aforesaid. That the said premises are free and clear
from all incumbrances whatsoever and that they will forever warrant and defend
the same with the appurtenances unto the said Morris Albaugh his heirs and
assigns against the law of claims of all purposes whomsoever.
In witness whereof the said Daniel F. Heaston, Elizabeth Heaston
his wife and Joseph Overholtz and Catharine his wife who hereby release their
Right of Dower in the Premises have hereunto set their hands and seals this
First day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
seventy two.

Be it remembered that of this first day of March A.D. 1872 Before me the
Subscriber, a Justice of the Peace in and for said County, personally came the
above named Daniel F. Heaston & Elizabeth his wife Joseph Overholt and Catharine
his wife the Grantors on the foregoing Deed, and acknowledged the signing and
sealing of the same to be their voluntary act and deed for the uses and purposes
therein mentioned and the said Elizabeth Heaston & Catharine Overholt, wives of
the said Daniel F. Heaston & Joseph Overholt who being at the same time examined
by me separate and apart from the said husbands and the contents of said
Instrument being by me made known and explained to them they then declared that
they did voluntarily sign and seal and acknowledge the same and that they are
still satisfied therewith as their voluntary act and deed for the uses and
purposes therein mentioned.
In Testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and
affixed my official seal on the day and year last aforesaid.

I hereby certify that the Deed of which the foregoing is a copy had adhesive
stamps attached to the value of One Dollar Fifty Cents which were duly cancelled
according to law. I further certify that said Deed was entered for Record Dec 7th
1872 and Recorded January 2nd 1873.
