Morris Albaugh to SS Hamill 

DEED   Morris Albaugh to S.S. and LM Hamill

Know all men by these presents that we Morris Albaugh and Elizabeth Albaugh his wife of the County of Harrison and State of Ohio in consideration of the sum of Two Thousand Dollars to us paid by S.S. Hamill & L.M. Hamill, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do hereby grant Bargain Sell and Convey to the said S.S. Hamill & L.M. Hamill their heirs and assigns forever, the following Real Estate situated in the County of Harrison, in the State of Ohio and in the Steubenville Land District and bounded and described as follows:  To wit, being the South half of the West half of the South East quarter of Section No. Nineteen (19) in Township Thirteen (13) of Range Six (6) containing Thirty nine acres more or less.
            To have and to hold said premises with all the privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said S.S. Hamill and LeAn Hamill, their heirs and assigns forever.  And the said Morris Albaugh and Eliza Albaugh for themselves and their heirs, do hereby covenant with the said S.S. Hamill and LeAn Hamill, their heirs and assigns; that they are lawfully seized of the premises aforesaid; that the said premises are Free and Clear from all Incumbrances, whatsoever, and that they will forever warrant and defend the same with the appurtenances unto the said S.S Hamill and LeAn Hamill, their heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever.
            In witness whereof the said Morris Albaugh and Elizabeth Albaugh his wife of the said Morris Albaugh who hereby releases her right of dower in the premises have hereunto set their hands and seals this third day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy four.

State of Ohio, Harrison County S.S.

Be it remembered that on this third day of September A.D. 1874 before me the Subscriber, a Justice of the Peace in and for said County personally came the above named Morris Albaugh and Elizabeth Albaugh, the Grantors in the foregoing Deed, and acknowledged the signing and sealing of the same to be their voluntary act and deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned.  And the said Elizabeth Albaugh, wife of the said Morris Albaugh, being at the same time examined by me separate and apart from her said husband and the contents of said instrument being by me made known and explained to her, then declared, that she did voluntarily sign seal and acknowledge the same, and that she is still satisfied therewith, as her voluntary act and deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned.
