DEED       Robert S Hogue & wife to Basil Albough

Know all men by these presents: That Robert S. Hogue and Mary A Hogue wife of the said Robert S. Hogue of the County of Harrison and the State of Ohio, in consideration of the sum of Three hundred and ninety & 50/100 Dollars to us paid by Basil Albough of the County and State aforesaid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged do hereby Grant, Bargain, Sell and Convey to the said Basil Albough his heirs and assigns forever, the following Real Estate situated in the County of Harrison in the State of Ohio, and in the Steubenville Land district and bounded and described as follows:  To wit, the same being a part of Section 32 Township 12 of Range 5, Beginning for the same at the South East corner of the lot now owned by Thomas Somerville thence North 29˝° East 29.88 perches by the North East corner of said Somerville lot thence South 49˝° East 11.5 8 perches to a stone at the North west corner of Thomas Heidy’s lot, thence South 34˝° west 29.46 perches to a stone at the South west corner of said Heidy’s lot, thence North 49˝° west 8.74 perches to the place of beginning and containing One Acre, three roods and 14 perches.
                To have and to hold said premises with all the privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said Basil Albough his heirs and assigns forever.  And the said Robert S. Hogue and Mary A. Hogue his wife for themselves and their heirs do hereby covenant with the said Basil Albough his heirs and assigns, that they are lawfully seized
Of the premises aforesaid, that the said premises are free and clear from all incumbrances whatsoever, and that they will forever Warrant and Defend the same with the appurtenances, unto the said Basil Albough his heirs and assigns, against the lawful claim of all persons whomsoever.
                In Witness whereof, the said Robert S. Hogue and Mary A. Hogue his wife who hereby release her right of dower in the premises have hereunto set their hands and seals this 10th day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy two

Alexander Scott      }      Be it remembered that on the 10th day of June A.D. 1872 before me the subscriber, a Justice of the Peace in and for said County, personally came the above named Robert S. Hogue and Mary A. Hogue the Grantors in the foregoing Deed and acknowledged the signing and sealing of the same to be their voluntary act and Deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned.  And the said Mary A. Hogue, wife of the said Robert S. Hogue being at the same time examined by me, separate and apart from her said husband, and the contents  of said Instrument being by me made known and examined to her she then declared that she did voluntarily sign, seal and acknowledge the same and that she is still satisfied therewith as her voluntary act and deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned.  In Testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name on the day and year last aforesaid.

I hereby certify that the Deed of which the foregoing is a copy had an adhesive stamp attached to the value of fifty cents which was duly cancelled according to Law.  I further certify that said Deed was entered for record October 1st 1873 and Recorded Oct. 3rd 1873.                                                                                                                                             George W.
